Today For Lunch

Coffee. Three cups. Lots of sugar.

:::jitters towards the “Submit” button:::

A piece of patate al crema pizza- potatoes, cream sauce, olive oil, onions and rosemary. Highly recommend. Also vanilla Coke, which I don’t like, but keep drinking out of some weird fascination with its overwhelmingly chemical taste.

Okay, so I didn’t have the salmon. I had the carnitas tacos. Two carnitas tacos, black refried beans, rice, cantaloupe, onion soup, chips ‘n’ salsa, all for $4.99.

Francesca: I’ll LYK next time I’m in England!

That’s okay, Johnny L.A., I skipped out on the veggie burgers.

We decided to go out to the food court nearby. So instead of veggie burgers I had Great Khan’s Mongolian BBQ instead.

YUMMMM.

Healthy choice Dried-up Steak Tips Dijon, raspberry Yoplait, diced peach cup and a couple of Fig Newtons.

That was at work. Now I’m seriously considering an omelet for a snack tonight when I get home. Don’t have any Spam though…

Breakfast: multiple handfuls of Vector cereal, some raspberry yogurt and a glass of orange juice.

Just before getting to work: 1 large cup of coffee (Tim Hortons).

9:30 snack: 1 banana.

11:00 snack: 3 stone wheat dried red pepper crackers

Lunch: 4 stone wheat dried red pepper crackers, 70g of sundried tomato basil roast turkey, 1.5 slices of Norwegian Jarlsburl Lite cheese, some raisins, some jumbo salted cashews, 1 handful of dried apricots (they give me gas, big time!), 1 small cookie, 2 Clementine oranges (from Morocco).

4:00 snack: (now at home, finally able to be online) 1 large cup of coffee (Second Cup, I love their stuff), 1 small box containing 3 Lindt hazelnut chocolates.

I’m a steady 170 pounds because my work is somewhat physical (I’m a steel worker and hate my job) and I try to work out regularly.

Global Citizen

Ooh, Eve, I wish I’d known. One of the offices for my company is near Grand Central Market and I’ve made the mistake of their food before. I’d say beware of anything purchased there. Blech.

On topic, my lunch today was an original Boca Burger, couscous mixed with barely wilted baby spinach and drizzled with sesame oil, pineapple yogurt and a 24 ounce (!!!) bottle of ginger ale, because I couldn’t stop myself. It was yummy.

But I tasted sesame-tinged ginger ale until dinner time.

Today for lunch we (that would be Soupo (5 1/2), Katcha (2 1/2) and me (35)) had White Castle cheeseburgers with a large order of onion chips.

Since Soupo didn’t have school today, we were out finding a “Pickle Gift” for Christmas. (Do you know what a “Pickle Gift” is? Oddly, not everyone does. See, someone hangs a glass pickle ornament on the Christmas Tree. Then whoever finds said pickle gets the “Pickle Gift”. Then they have to buy the gift for the next year and are in charge of hiding the pickle on the tree. It’s great fun, and you should do it too.) (If you did know what a “Pickle Gift” was already, you’re one of the Cool Kids.) Since we were out, and it was lunchtime, we stopped at White Castles. Yay! We don’t get White Castles much since the Little Woman doesn’t like 'em. And by “doesn’t like” I mean she hates it with a white hot fury.

So, us men-folk had White Castles for lunch. Soupo put away four cheeseburgers and a wad of onion chips. I also had four cheeseburgers, but more onion chips. Katcha only had two cheeseburgers but he devoured a steady stream of chips.

See how thoughtful we are? We had out Slider fix and didn’t inflict any on the Little Woman. Considerate, huh?

Hide the pickle?

I’m having vegetable beef soup. With barley in it. Without Baldric, the kitty in it. I had soup yesterday, and he thought it would be a more complete meal with kitty. So, he jumped into my soup bowl. shakes head Crazy little kitten.

Yes lieu, “hide the pickle”. It’s what Christmas is all about.

Unless you were asking me out to lunch, then no, I’m sorry. I already ate.

We had vegetable soup in the cafeteria yesterday. We were suppossed to have beef 'n barley today. However, since many cow-orkers are out for the holidays already, we had beef 'n barley with used vegetables on top instead. I’m due a Thanksgiving meal. With pickles.

Well, you may have indulged your Whitey’s fix without the Little Woman™, but from what I know, she’ll be reaping the consequences later.

And I don’t mean that in a good way.

Woo!

Smoked ham and habenero (sp?) jack cheese rolled in a tortilla + a cup of vanilla pudding (it was healthy pudding, though, it was Boost.) Water to drink.

I just finished a slice of apple streudal cheesecake from Cheryl&Co and am thinking about munching on a pun’kin roll from the same.

Darn you, Rue!
