The Skechers feel weird but good. The Sea Monkey water is ready to go but has to sit for 24 hours before I put the eggs in. The Enell bra is very weird and will take some getting used to but hooboy the girls don’t jiggle at all in it.
Mundane and pointless but I had fun shopping today.
I don’t drive, but a friend of mine was in town so I bought the necessities, food and the like. Also, a cushy bathmat to go with my posh new shower, a squeegee to keep the shower clean, and chicken and vegetables for a lovely crockpot stew.
I bought a case of Fresca and a jug of skimmed milk. Woo.
ETA: Yesterday I bought two PS2 games (used) and the fixins for an outdoor clothesline that we’ll put up as soon as it’s dry enough outside. And some aluminum burner pan covers.
The only thing I bought today was a kiwi strawberry Snapple on my way back from a walk that was longer than I intended due to my apparent inability to navigate.
I went to Walgreen’s during my lunch break to buy some Sudafed. We’re going to be flying out to Colorado this weekend, and my ears don’t adjust to pressure well. My doctor suggested taking the Sudafed ahead of time to see if it helps.
I did buy the store brand, not the name brand, 'cause I’m cheap like that.
I bought a v-tag reader and books for my son’s birthday plus a new baseball jersey - he loves the Cardinals - a bunch of cleaning crap (toilet bowl cleaner, all-purpose, scrubbies, etc.) and some Easter stuff. I got them matching Easter baskets to avoid any ill will over who got what Easter basket, plus some jelly beans and grass. My mom’s making a special trip to a chocolate shop in my home town, so I don’t have to get chocolate. Yay!
Oh, yeah, I also got more baby wash and lotion, plus cleanser, gum and something else.
I spent a crap-load on odds and ends, but I’m glad I did. I’m so excited about my son’s v-tag reader. He’s a huge gadget fan, and really enjoying the power of letter recognition.
Got the oil changed (with a discount!), saw that gas was $3.80/gal so quickly ran to a gas station where I knew they tend to lag on changing prices and filled up at $3.58/gal. Stopped by Taco Bell and bought a bean burrito and two soft tacos. Stopped by the grocery store and bought Pink Funfetti Frosting for the cupcakes I made last night (when I asked TheKid where the tin of frosting I knew had been in the cupboad was, she did the “la la la what frosting?” thing) and a half gallon of milk.
I just returned from True Value. I bought: a sting trimmer with extra line, a spreader, milky spore, 60 gal pop up refuse container, 2 gal back-reliever spayer, boric acid and a huge box of diatomaceous earth.
