I made Sloppy Joes, mashed potatoes, and carrots.
I’m waiting for some pizza dough to finish proofing, and it’ll be Chicago-style thin crust (cut into squares) with homemade Italian sausage on one, and mushrooms and green peppers on the other. And me and the kids made strawberry cupcakes (with real strawberries both in the cupcakes and icing), so I guess that’s dessert!
Not sure yet - it will be either leftover short ribs from last night, or pasta with garlicky broccoli rabe, possibly made with chickpea pasta or with chickpeas added, or some combination of those.
Buffalo wings and a Neapolitan pepperoni pie from our favorite pizzeria down the block. Request from my 21 year old son, home from college, who’d rather eat his favorite takeout than a home made dinner prepared by his poppa’s loving hands, th’ little shit.
Were having Screaming Sicilian Holy Pepperoni pizza with ranch dressing. The Boy Scouts finally delivered our popcorn, so that’s dessert.
Bought some boneless strip steaks to cook at my mom’s house. The sides are Broccoli with cheese sauce and baked potatoes. Brown & Serve rolls.
Desert is sweet potato pie.
This is what the Pilgrims really wanted, instead of a dry bird. LOL
Cottage cheese with crackers…mostly because I don’t feel very well, and I have to be at work in an hour.
Waiting for the bread I made to use for dressing tomorrow to finish baking. When it cools, I’ll make a little ham sammy to go with baked chips, cottage cheese, a hard boiled egg and some sliced tomato. A couple of Mandarin oranges for dessert.
Leftovers or we’ll go out for Chinese. Maybe out for a movie. Still deciding.
Tuna salad sandwich and a box of raisins. I might have more later.
I have two sausage quiches in the oven. Breakfast for dinner sounded nice and easy as I’m using the kitchen to try to prepare as much I can for tomorrow. A couple of pie plates, a dozen eggs, a pound of sausage and some milk and cheese, nothing special. As a bonus it’s going to be breakfast for tomorrow so no kitchen mess. I think this might be my new tradition.
Mandarin oranges as an appetizer, boneless pork chops, parmesan couscous, and an éclair for Dad, and a cream puff for me.
Frozen french fries (yes I baked them first) and a handful of grapes. I grazed all day at work on all the food that was sitting around so not real hungry now.
I’m starting with a bowl of corn chowder, followed by a double-cut Kurobuta pork chop. Green beans and mashed on the side. Dessert is still up in the air.
The boychik isn’t crazy about Thanksgiving food, so he gets to pick, and he picked pizza. He loves to help make the dough. Made one with extra cheese and extra sauce for him, and one with lots of veggies for DH and me.
We have a box of chocolates for dessert.
Tomorrow he is going to be allowed to have a Smart Dog instead of Tofurky. It’s all soy anyway, and it leaves more Tofurky for the rest of us. He has to eat two bits of each of the vegetables, though. I can’t believe I have a kid who doesn’t like vegetables. He used to eat all kinds of vegetables when he was a baby and toddler. I blame peer pressure.
Parmesan garlic chicken and leftover cornbread salad… For dessert the extra pumpkin cheesecake filling with graham crackers dipped in
I arrived at my parents’ house earlier this afternoon. Tonight’s dinner was very straightforward – my father ran over to Papa Murphy’s, and got a take-and-bake pizza for us.
We had spaghetti and meatballs. Simple and quick. Oh an myself a Porter to go with it.
I’m fasting tonight so that I’ll be even hungrier for the big meal
Steamed, spiced jumbo shrimp. 16-20 count. US gulf fresh. $5.99/pound. I couldn’t refuse.
