Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 34 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 56 and N.O.S. for the day. I woke up at five this mornin’, answered the call of nature, debated stayin’ up but said nope and went back to dreamland for a while longer. Nice to be able to do that when I want. I shall head to the Pubic Sto’ this mornin’ for provisions as it is geezer discount day. I have cubed steak leftover from Moanday’s suppage which I shall heat up and serve along with rice and some kind of vegetation, maybe peas, butterbeans, and okra all cooked together. Other than that no huge plans for the day.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I suppose I should purtify if’n I am to go about the public to the Pubic Sto’.

Spent last night following the election news here in Ali-bama (the ‘liberal’ won; I believe that is one of the signs of the apocalypse). 27F at the moment but going to 51F according to the weather folks; we’ll see.
The travel agency in Toronto hasn’t got my check yet for my China trip (it was mailed on the 8th) and told me yesterday (12th) if they haven’t received it in a week that they’ll cancel the reservation. They also sent info on how to send money directly, but…they also offer a 1% discount on the tour if you pay by check. I am mildly annoyed, but suspect the check will arrive this week and all will be well.
Oh, and I killed a spider (it was the spiders’ fault, it was crawing on the wall right in front of the computer). Sorry about that, spidey.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Closing shift tonight. 12 more days till the hell that is Retail Christmas is over.

I is a healthy puppy as I had a cold nose, because that was the only part of me exposed when I went out for a walk. Speaking of puppies, I met the big, black Lab coming the other way. He jumped up & out came his tongue…straight for my nose. This had me very, very skeered, as I thought I was going to end up playing the part of “Flagpole” from A Christmas Story. 
Too Gordie out, now he’s defrosting. Making Thai fired rice for brunch.

Groceries have been bought and put away. Not a big crowd at the Pubic Sto’ so yay for that. 'Tis time for chillage.

WetOne Sorry you are having issues. You Can quit smoking. I am 7+ months quit and it’s the hardest thing I have ever done and still struggle…Good luck.

Butters, et al, I know I can quit. I was quit for years but started again. I appreciate the pom poms. Back in the Usenet days I belonged to a quit group and one member would shake her pom poms when we did good. Doc said it is probably an extremely mild case of a fib and since it is so infrequent he’s not putting me on a monitor. I will have a cardiac ultrasound. Me and Ursala Kitteh are chilling tonight.

wet one, I quit once for six years before starting back up. I have now been smoke free for 7+ years.
It’s cold here. To be specific, 32F when I left for irk this morning.
Our new temporary setup at irk is beginning to get to me. Someone is wearing a fragrance that irritates my throat and eyes. I’m not sure who it is ro whether they’re in my department or one of the Quality folks. I mentioned it to my boss and he agreed to pass the word to the Quality manager.
I too have supped. Tonight I will put away stuff in the studio and begin to address Xmas cards.
