Too Much White Stuff - a Snowy MMP

And you used to greet her with “What’s Supp” I imagine, flytrap

I am getting lazier, another 2 hour nap this afternoon, I’m going to have to look into perhaps joining a gym or something to get me out of the house during the week (I have soccer for the weekends).

Dinner has been consumed and a night of browsing/reading is in store.

wet one, can’t comment since I never smoked, but best of luck to ya’. (waves pom-poms: Pom-poms - YouTube

I adopted Ursala Kitteh almost 2 years ago. Tonight is the first time she’s sat with me in my chair. It’s so cozy.

The day itself was more of the same. Sunny, errands, a fine nap, etc.

This evening we had our building Xmas party. About 50 folks and epic quantities of homemade goodies. Much food, drink, and camaraderie was had. Then we had gift raffles, 50/50, and other grouply silliness.

The ghosts at the party were one woman who’s intermittently hospitalized with infection flareups they can damp down but can’t cure, and another woman who had a mind-destroying stroke three weeks ago now. Good luck to you both.

Afterwards a few of us dressed warm (it’s down to 52F under a clear sky) and went down to the park to watch the meteors. Between the xmas decs at the park & the general city lights there wasn’t much to be seen. If I wake up in the wee hours I may slip down to the beach where it ought to be dark enough to actually see something. Besides, this early the radiant point is pretty low on the horizon; meteors are much more visible later when that’s near zenith.

Original plan was to do some knight night shooting & then watch the meteor shower. We cxl’d based upon forecast & then the event (outdoors at an observatory in North Joisey) was officially cxl’d. OTOH, I am lucky enough to see stuff falling thru the sky much more regularly than an occasional meteor; in this case it’s white & the start of what will be 1" - 3" by the time we wake up.

I would want to be watching from another planet if you’re gonna wake up to 1-3" of meteor debris on the ground by sunrise.

Oh bother. As of 30 minutes ago it seems our clothes dryer has died. It’s a weird Euro-brand with little parts support in the US. Not gonna be fun or cheap.
Quittin’ time. G’night all.

Worked, came home. Made spaghetti with chicken with some of my leftover sauce.

I quit 20 years ago. Y’all can do it.

Yay! Good Kitteh!

Off to surgery tomorrow. I’ll take prayers, good thoughts, and best wishes. For some reason, I am a little worried about this one.

Take care everyone.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 38 Amurrkin out and cloudyish with a predicted high of 94 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. No big plans for the day outside of cookin’ up a poke roast in the slow cooker. That, baked sweet N.O.T., probably peas 'n carrots, plus rolls shall be supped upon. I could and should iron some shirts. We shall see.

{{{Sunny}}} prayers and good thoughts headed out re the surgery. May you recover soonest.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, well who knows. Some form of purtification and domestic stuff to follow.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Good thoughts to ya, Sunny!!

OK, dream analysts - here’s a good one for you. Last night I dreamed I was riding the mower around the front yard, and it was full of dead skunks. Not road-kill skunks, but bloated, stiff, yet curiously non-stinky dead skunks. Surely that means something… ?

Wonder if my office mate will be back today? He’s been out sick the last 2 days, poor kid. But I’m glad he’s not one of those who thinks the world will end if he’s not at his desk. Nothing like working with sickies. ick.

Onward into the day! Happy Thursday!!

Good luck, Sunny.

You’ve got a really, really, really really stuffed up nose???
‘bout an inch of “meteor debris” on the ground this morn, flyguy :dubious:
Unfortunately, not enough for the shoes o’ snow. (Which I just remembered I need to put away as they are still in the back of the car from whenst I used them on Sunday.)

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.

{{{{hugs}}}} and prayers sent.

Blurf Sunny sending positive and healing vibes to you. Surgery is scary stuff.

I had a call from the Dr. about the recent vampire donation. Seems I have high cholesterol. They are calling in another kind of medicine since I am already on Zocor. Nurse said sometimes one will stop working. WTF. Dammit. Always something.

wet one, maybe kitteh sensed your health problems and did her own bit for helping you to get better…

Sunny, hope all goes well for you and we’ll see you soon back in the MMP. Best wishes.

swampy, a high of 94? Methinks you’ve either overstated it or your house is on fire…

Moooooomm, I have no idea what your dream means except cutting back on whatever you had for dinner yesterday.

Got up and put the garbage outside for the trash picker-upper (they use a truck with a big grappling mechanism to pick the garbage container up and dump it, so it remains untouched by human hands) and need to employ the vacuum cleaner around the house. Waiting for the raisin Bread to defrost before breaking fast.

Sunny, good wishes, white light, and prayers sent your way. Remember to take the pain meds!

More good wishes for {{{ **Sunny **}}}. Remember you can while (sp?) away a lot of recovery time posting here. It’s even better while high on the hospital-level meds.

Clear and 50ish at sunrise going up to 75ish. Wife is fed & launched for her day and I need to do that too after finishing filibustering here.

It’s official. My dryer has had a stroke; its brain is stone dead. Now to debate trying to fix it or replace it. And what of its matching mate that so far seems to have years of life left in it?

We’re not big on extravagant Christmas spending. Retail America would go broke if they depended on us. But it’s interesting how many years I make a forced major purchase in Dec that doubtless gets added to the Holiday stats but has nothing to do with holidays or celebrating.

Oh Honey, you bought me a dryer! You shouldn’t have. Really. :frowning:

Adding more good wishes for Sunny and a plea for the good meds!

I learned early on that women are not happy if you buy them something useful for a present.

SOME women are not happy with useful gifts. Some of us are more practical. :stuck_out_tongue:

FTR I run about 60% of the total loads of our collective laundry. Which consists of about 5/8ths her stuff, 1/8th my stuff, and 2/8ths shared stuff. So it’s not real clear who’s the gifter and who’s the giftee in my earlier post.
And no, by “shared stuff” I’m not referring to her underwear. You people! Sheesh!

I would like to get the cats roombas.
They could joust.
