I just watched this episode and have a theological question based upon it…
Montel Williams plays Brother David who runs a cult. At the end when everyone is trying to escape the fire, Brother David is offered one last chance to escape by Monica (Roma Downey). When he refuses, Andrew (John Dye) appears by his side and shakes his head, indicating the end has come.
In my vague remembrance of things such as this, the Bible highly frowns upon suicide, or a self-proclaimed righteous death. Therefore, why would Andrew be taking him to heaven?
Just thought this a bit weird.
What are your assumptions/thoughts.
