Trans Siberian Orchestra

They played Toronto last night. What a great show! Everyone from young children to seniors’ age was there. I can’t wait for Night Castles to come out. I wish they would do a Beethoven Last Night show, too.

I’m so jealous–we go see them every year and I was really looking forward to it this year, but then they went and changed their venue to one that’s too far away to be practical for us. Glad to hear they’re still putting on a good show.

They’re *still * talking about Night Castles and the Beethoven’s Last Night tour? I think both of these are starting to become a joke–this is about year 4 now that they’ve been saying, “any time now…”

Did they do Carmina Burana this year?

December 10. Got the tickets already, and bouncing in my seat. This will be the first time we’ve seen them live, though we love their CDs.

One of my customers is a lighting guy for big shows. He is good buddies with the main lighting guy at their shows. According to him, the lighting guys theory is that even if folks hate the music, he is damned sure going to make sure they enjoy the lights.

I’ve not seen them, but I have heard amazing things about their show. FWIW, the insane Christmas lights movie that went around last year was set to their song Wizards In Winter, that was their lighting guys house, rumor has it.

Cool! It would take a pro to be able to do that light show! That clip is what first clued me in to the group; had heard the name before but I had no clue what their music was light.

We’ve got tix to their performance on December 30th

Yes, they did carmina…their light show is truly incredible as well. Apparently they’ve got quite a few Canadians working on their show.

According to their website, they have a contest going for Wizards…check it out.

I went to see them once and was terribly dissapointed. The sound was awful-- you couldn’t hear the orchestra at all. I should have done more research into their music before going. I thought there would be a lot more “hard rock classical” like their “Christmas in Sarajevo.”

Sigh. I’d love to go see TSO, but the Atlanta shows are immediate sell outs every year.

Doctor Jackson: they have advanced ticket sales on their website, if that helps at all.

My parents saw them this week. Their ears are still ringing.
