The program interprets any mention of “Monty Python” as a probable reference to a movie, and responds accordingly. The reality that the sketch in question appeared on a television show, was not programmed into the response options.

There’s a lot of reasons to call thickpancreas stupid, but not being familiar with a foreign television show from half a century ago isn’t really a great one.
He also failed to recognize the fact that abuse isn’t allowed in GD.
When it comes to garden-variety trolls: I agree. But if the discussion is about programmed responses—tried out here, then used in bulk in more impressive venues—then surely a bit of effort isn’t too much to expect.

Oh, I think he’s definitely trolling over there. He doesn’t even disagree that there’s a pink tax and is arguing using the whatever happens to come into his head, utterly fact- and cite-free.

I really don’t think he understands the women’s sizing thing is not the same as tailored clothing. I’ve never worn tailored clothes in my life. That’s something wealthy people do. So he’s being argumentative about something he doesn’t even understand.
Other than his first three posts four years ago and his posts in this thread, they have all been in GD or P&E; he’s been whining in one of those about how being called “troll” is soooo unfair.
Maybe if he hadn’t been silent for four years and spread his interests around…

Well, I came to the USA from Central America, El Salvador in the 80’s . Fleeing the civil war there.
Never heard of Monthy Python until arriving to the US and the classic comedy show was already cancelled in Merry old England.
Fortunately the local PBS station had reruns of them, and they were also influential for me and besides learning American English I also learned British slang and idioms too.
It was a very useful shibboleth to find out if some annoying posters in the SDMB were monumentally ignorant of idioms after they claimed they were bloody experts on them.
So, if not stupid, he is an ignorant… that shows how stupid he can look like thanks to his inability to Google while denying that he has a problems in that front too.
