Many years ago I set up a Twitter account and forgot about it. Last week my tablet glitched and I was logged out of everything. If you require factual confirmation of that fact, you can ask EngineerCompGeek, I needed his help to get back on the SDMB
I was trying all my usual log-in / password combos to get back into Twitter. Success - or so I thought at first - but I didn’t recognize the account, which was following no one and had no followers. Then I sort of remembered setting up an account about 5 years ago and I figure it was that one.
Here’s the thing, kid. I have been a member of the SDMB forums since 1995. It’s my home, in a very real sense. It’s important to me and my presence here is very genuine and there’s only one.
Twitter means jack shit to me. That’s why I don’t much care that they suspended my account. To me, Twitter is like this arcade that used to be in the mall near me. I don’t even like the place but every now and then I’d walk in, play Whack-A-Mole for a half hour or so and release some frustration. That’s Twitter to me.
So unless you are going to accuse me of something else with no evidence, like rigging an election, you can go now. I’m not engaging with you anymore.

Well, maybe it does mean something to someone. Maybe someone has been on Twitter since it started and it’s their home in a very real sense. I’m sure you get upset when some troll comes in here and mucks things up for the lulz, because they dont have the same feelings for this place that you or I have. Trolling is bad form, full stop. doesnt matter where it is or why youre doing it. You can justify it however you like, it’s still trolling.
Maybe the house is already so full of shit that nobody notices a new source has been added. Like the Twoofer magnets that were part of the IMDb boards.
NB: I had stopped trolling the Twoofers there long before they shut down.

I have made no accusations. She admitted to trolling on twitter. Was quite proud of that fact, too, imho.
I believe her when she says she’s not trolled or socked here. But, does that make it ok because it was done elsewhere? I dont believe it does.
