I’ve looked for that footage several times over the years, and have always been told that the footage of Christine Chubbuck’s suicide was never released, even via leak. In fact, Wikipedia says that the footage has never been seen, save for when it happened.

Hmmm… now that I really think about it, I realize I’ve always held the unexamined assumption that usernames are case-sensitive - that is, truthseeker, Truthseeker, TruthSeeker, etc. could all be different people. If that’s not so, I’ll have to withdraw the vile calumny on your spelling skills.
I’m a teensy bit worried about the locked thread, though. That doesn’t count as a mod action against me, does it? Cuz I’ve got a low profile to maintain.

Are you sure? If I click on your name to get to your profile page, the URL is …\u\colibri (lower-case c). If I change the case of any letter in the name, it still takes me to your profile.
I stand corrected. In vBulletin, I’m pretty sure that names were case sensitive. I guess they’re not in Discourse. I think there were probably some old names that differed in case, so I wonder what happened to them.
In any case, if we find someone registering a name too close to an existing name, we’ll probably ask them to change it to avoid confusion, at least if the first name is a currently active poster.
To be sure, the number of necessary Somebody and Somebody2 users that we’ve had to create / tolerate during our admin-less switchover has led to lots of opportunities for confusion.
Both socks coming back unwantedly and at first unnoticed, and situations like the rest of us assuming truthseeker2 and truthseeker3 are necessarily the same person when they happen not to be this time.
