You should notice that I did not rub into others faces that I’m a Hispanic immigrant (already a US citizen) with social studies and history background that drifted into technology and education later in life. You should be glad that I do not teach Language arts, because I do know my limitations.

Yep. For example, I used to be uncomfortable with trans people. Mostly because the general culture has always been very transphobic, and because the idea is so different from the way I feel about myself, and different = strange = scary.
Since then, I grew up and went to college, where I started examining my ideas, and realized that other than prejudice I had no grounding for my feelings about trans people. I met some trans people, which made them less strange and alien, and my discomfort with the idea decreased. And trans people started gaining more inclusion in media, again making them more familiar. At some point, familiarity eased my discomfort to the point where I could rationally examine the facts, and I realized that trans women have never posed a significant threat to women. And so, I changed my mind.
That was a serious question? I’m not ‘following’ him or anyone. I’ve disagreed with him on other subjects.

This is worth paying attention to, for anyone who is still questioning whether Damuri is worth talking with. I accused him of calling people racist if they support affirmative action. It turns out I gave him too much credit: he called me racist (and personalized it with a super-shitty accusation about my professional ethics) because I suggested he called people racist.
How do I know that?
Because I never posted in his stupid fucking thread about the magnet school.
The mere accusation that he accuses people of racism for supporting affirmative action is enough to make him say I show “contempt…to the asian [sic] community in general.”

Well, I have found before that it does distract, specially when there are issues about racism, some past banned posters just assumed that I was therefore an idiot as I was the "wrong"race.
As I can see, damur can’t help showing how racist he can get and just assume that I’m an idiot already.
