I attempted to use a fire extinguisher - my grandfather’s beautiful polished brass extinguisher - but unfortunately it hadn’t been recharged since the Harding administration, so I had to use a garden hose. Aside from a little scorching under the eave of the house no major damage was done, except to the backside of my cousin who started the fire.
