My conspiracy theories lean less toward trying to figure out a way to win the race, and more toward trying to find a way to get out of the race without losing.

However, I did see someone on Reddit point out that Trump is in several high-risk groups: elderly, obese, low-income…

He might not be doing a great job (understatement), but it isn’t because he doesn’t take Covid seriously, it’s because he’s incompetent. To be fair though, without having had Covid, I would expect incompetent and trump-esk recklessness (maybe that’s how he got it).
My fear all along is that Biden would catch COVID and become morbidly ill. I worry about that now especially.
This is not surprising, nor would it surprise me if some conspiracy theory implicates Biden and the Democrats for deliberately infecting him with it and calling it some sort of attempt at a hit job.
The threat of conspiracy theories spiraling out of control is very real right now.

What is Trump pulls through with only slight complications but Melania gets seriously ill. Or they play it like she is seriously ill. They could easily get away with that for the weeks coming up to the election to garner sympathy. I could seeing them doing that.
At least Melania gets a distraction out of it.

The first lady, Melania Trump, delivered a profanity-laced rant about Christmas decorations at the White House and mocked the plight of migrant children who were separated from their parents at the border in 2018 during a conversation secretly taped by a former aide and close confidante.
“I’m working like a — my ass off at Christmas stuff,” Mrs. Trump laments to the former aide, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who has just published a tell-all book, in a recording that was first broadcast on CNN on Thursday night. Mrs. Trump continued, “You know, who gives a fuck about Christmas stuff and decoration?”
Later in the conversation, which occurred in July 2018, the first lady complained about the criticism leveled at President Trump and his administration that summer for separating families in a crackdown on illegal immigration.
“I say that I’m working on Christmas planning for the Christmas, and they said, ‘Oh, what about the children?’ That they were separated.” She used another obscenity to express her exasperation, asking Ms. Winston Wolkoff, “Where they were saying anything when Obama did that?”
She attacked Christmas!
Probably not a good time to bring that up. I hope she does well.

Well, it’s definitely a plot twist. Like a lot of people who sat through Tuesday’s presidential debate, I’m amazed the week has ended with Donald Trump ingesting bleach, and not me.
As you may vaguely have heard, the US president and his wife, Melania, have tested positive for the novel coronavirus – which feels untimely given that, mere hours earlier, Trump had been declaring: “The end of the pandemic is in sight.” Perhaps this is a one-last-job movie.
Alternatively, picture a Wuhan bat staring pensively into the fireplace as its butler suggests not thinking too hard about Trump’s motivations. Some poorly facepainted men just want to watch the world burn.
Still, let’s stay on track. God knows, it’s excruciatingly hard to chirp “Get well soon!” to this particular patient, but … get well soonish. Those of us who want to escape the cesspool Trump has helped drag the world into will wish him a better time with the virus than the one to which he blithely condemned so many of those he was elected to serve. Each to their own, but I’m against all forms of the death penalty, karmic or otherwise.
