We’ll have to wait for Trump’s interpreter, Rudi Giuliani, to explain that to us. Ow wait - he already agreed with Trump that Obama is the founder of ISIS.
Maybe he meant that he agrees with Trump’s sarcasm? I’m so confused.

Hey, if you do the right dance, all the White people will be gone from North America and the old ways will return. The pre-horse old ways, to be precise.
Now, wear this shirt. It is completely bullet-proof.
abortion is mainly a state issue , not federal.
in last 10 yrs. , state laws have tightened… lotsa clinics gone … etc.
so nationwide stats are irrelevant as far as dem vs repub / potus…etc.
I’ve heard a couple of cable-news people, today, say something to the Trump surrogates that’s quite a good point (and, naturally, none of the surrogates have been able to counter it):
If no one could tell that Trump was “using sarcasm” when he said Obama and Hillary were the founders of ISIS, then how will anyone be able to tell if Trump is “using sarcasm” when he promises to bring back jobs, or to keep us safe, or to Make America Great Again?
Sarcasm : : the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say especially in order to insult someone, to show irritation, or to be funny
Way to go Donny! So in other words, Obama did the opposite of founding ISIS and you agree that he is trying to destroy it.
So why vote for the presidential nominee who says he’s “pro-life?” Why vote for the Congressperson or Senator who says their “pro-life?” If it’s not federal, why would someone base their entire vote for president on someone who claims to be “pro-life?”
There are also other factors that reduce abortion numbers-- access to birth control and healthcare and overall economic conditions-- and those have been better under Dems. If people are better equipped to either 1) Prevent pregnancy, 2) Have access to pre-natal care and 3) Find themselves in a decent financial situation, you see abortion numbers go down. Thanks Obama and Clinton!
And incidentally, can you please at least make an attempt to put together a coherent sentence?
Trump has now clarified that he was being sarcastic, but actually not all that sarcastic. So that should clear up everything.
most folks who vote strictly on abortion issue , do so because they’re either pro-life
or pro-choice… not because of stats.
So pro-lifers care more about words than the actual results. I guess they don’t really care about dead babies after all.
I’m Spartacus!
Of course not. If they cared they’d be pushing for effective, free, and easy to get birth control.
But that would encourage women to have more sex, according to their illogic.
I’m Malory Archer and so’s my wife.

Somehow it got through his thick mental armour that he’d made a mis-step which was causing people to turn away. He couldn’t bring himself to withdraw his comment or walk it back or go for the “I was joking” gambit because they all sound pissweak. So he went for “I was being sarcastic” because his base know only that sarcasm is sassy not weak, and means you don’t mean what you are saying.
The fact that sarcasm involves saying the opposite of what you mean to make a point - such that Trump was (if being sarcastic) pointedly implying it was crazy to suggest Obama founded ISIS - is a step too subtle for his fans to understand.
That was rather beautiful.

Right, exactly. I heard an expert on ISIS go on NPR and say it was unfair to lay the blame for ISIS at Obama’s, and especially Hillary’s, feet, because many other factors, blah blah blah. :smack: Does even this guy not know what the word “founder” means? FFS!
Actually, it would reward the sluts instead of punishing them. That’s the real unforgivable sin: Women slutting around without facing the consequences. They can’t do much to make syphilis a major deterrent again, but they can falsely demonize the HPV vaccine (HPV, which is mostly sexually-transmitted, causes various cancers, notably cervical cancer in females and oral cancer in males) and they can get on the cross about abortion while tying abortion to birth control and contraception in general. End result? You can’t have sex without getting pregnant and risking HPV. Add in a heaping helping of demonizing effective sex ed with the fairy-dust-and-bullshit “you shouldn’t be doing it anyway” abstinence-only fake sex ed and you have as many people as possible who literally cannot use sex for amusement. It’s procreation with a risk of disease or nothing. The fact this aligns with the Ritual Purity Laws subset of Christianity is why this insanity is so easy to sell to organizations like the Southern Baptists, and now you have a full-blown culture war going on.
When Trump proposed punishments for women who got abortions, he was just saying outright what the Mainstream Conservative Republicans want to remain subtext. Speaking the subtext, aka failing to dog-whistle, was his only sin in the eyes of the GOP establishment.
It wasn’t sarcasm; it was just another Trump l’oeil.
