I can’t wish death on anyone, even him. I blame my mum. Dad, on the other hand, would have had him under the patio in a heartbeat.
Well, how about if you spin it this way: you wish him ultimate eternal rest. That would be win-win for all of us, including him, right/
Might be a real bummer for the rest sharing eternity with him?
“I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure."
I’m thinking of stealing it. ![]()
I’m not sure if anyone has posted a link to this very important page yet, but even so, it probably bears repeating:
Considering how many shitty EOs he’s signed on days that are meaningful to the people the EO is, at least somewhat, directed at (ie repealing Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative on her birthday), dying today, on the same date MLK Jr was assassinated, would be kismet.
Congrats, you made me make a loud involuntary sound. ![]()
When a cult loses its leader, things change, sometimes even collapse.
Official denial here, in the form of the usual statement about how Trump is working harder than anyone who has ever worked:
Apparently we know he’s in the White House because of the Marine standing post by the West Wing.
Having said that, imagine if they figured out that they could fake out the media by ordering a Marine to stand outside the West Wing. Is the Marine going to say no, sorry I’m only supposed to stand here if and when the President is here? (Is this the nuclear football Marine? If so, how hard would it be to handcuff a similar-but-empty briefcase to the wrist of another Marine?)
Rats.
Trump suddenly becoming camera shy was what started this thread. But I am pretty sure if he did actually die, the continuity-of-government stuff that would take place would be impossible to hide.
Since at this point we’re speculating based on shreds and shadows mostly, how about this: Trump, viewers have said, looked awful during his speech to the nation. He’s subsequently dropped from view, not even heading out to golf. There have been Truthies but it would be no problem for aides to fake them.
Maybe he hasn’t died, but has had a stroke that has left him at least temporarily aphasic and unable to ambulate. Panic in the White House! What now? How to handle this, especially if the doctors think he will recover? But on what timeline? How fully? Yikes! Cover up, cover up, while we figure out what to do.
As I say, speculation in the absence of explanation for the Mad King’s dropping from view.
If we follow the Wilson administration’s example, then Melania is going to have to take over. ![]()
Except I doubt she wants to. My money’s on her bolting back to her plush accommodations in New York.
If there’s a non-zero chance that the world takes to the streets and starts singing like the Whos in Whoville when you die, you’ve lived an absolute garbage life.
And I expect that with a belly full of cheap champagne, I’ll be singing the Wahoo chorus at the top of my lungs, my MAGA neighbors be damned.
We’ll know it happened when Fox News starts playing Swan Lake on repeat all day.
Interesting question, ( and maybe deserves a new thread new thread?) -
Suppose this had happened to Biden.*
How long would they have covered it up? My guess is about 24 hours
(* I have seen it in my own family, an 80 year old suddenly collapsed, unable to stand up, slurred speech. Of course we suspected a stroke, but it turned out that after a couple days of hospitalization and antibiotics, she was fine.)
