Trump is dying

It made me picture the Pope driving around in the Pope mobile writing tickets and getting into high speed chases. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

That’s a huge observation.

Your reaction is the successful forward thinking lean-in response. “I guess I don’t do that any more” is the opposite.

That screams buddy-movie, perhaps with the Dalai Lama?

One is the Vicar of Christ on Earth, the other has lived many lives, together they fight crime!

I would totally watch that movie. All the robes and stuff would just make it.

But who is the “By the book” cop and who’s the rebel? I said the Dalai Lama.
Leo: “You can’t use that ramp, this is a Popemobile, not a Ferrari”
Dalai Lama, the road reflected on his Ray-Bans: “No choice, this should work, and if it doesn’t… I’ll see you in our next life!”

I hope they have a Rabbi informant who gives them the “word on the street”.

That would be from a pair of door-to-door Mormon teen missionaries.

The rabbi is their weapons supplier.

“I hear your guy liked to turn swords into plowshares. We do things… (opens a sliding cabinet full of guns) …differently.”

I mean, the Pope’s name is literally LEO

He’s taking too long. Anybody got a pillow?

Is this cheating?

When I was in my 30s I got certified in massage, and during the lecture portion we’d sit on the floor. One time, not even showing off, I rose from a cross-legged position by rolling my right foot until it was flat on the floor, then rising on the one leg, the left just being along for the ride until it could be deployed.

One of the other men in his 50s just watched that then said, “Gawddammit!” I’m 76 now and there’s no way I’d even attempt it.

If you can wait 'til it’s warmed up, I have a poker.

Stay away from that line of thinking. The only way for him to go unnaturally should be via one of his own flock.

So, the Edward II treatment? Sign me up.

Ahemm: Elders.

They see it all.

I just tried it and, while easy and fast, it did make me notice that I usually do use my hands, so my muscle memory made me want to use my hands.

Now, what I do have a problem with is getting out of bed in the morning (my mattress is on the floor) without using anything to prop myself up, since when I have just awoken I am not in my full limberousness. I rock myself back and forth a couple of times before I can grab the chair next to my bed to help me up. Getting up from my afternoon nap is easier because I’m still limber.

I’m not going to start sleeping on a regularly-elevated bed though. I’ve slept on the floor for so long that sleeping in a regular bed feels dangerous, especially since I have fallen out of bed once or twice as a child. The only advantage I see to them is that you can store things under them, plus, if I get slightly less limber, it will be easier to get out of.

I was at some event recently where people were showing off rising from a cross legged position just with their legs. I’ve never seen anyone do it with a single leg. Wow!

I can get up and down from a chair with just my legs (doing it slowly, so as not to hurt my knees too much, i did it 5 times is 14 seconds.) But i use my arms when I’m on the floor. I just attempted it without arms, and was able to do it, but it’s really awkward.

Anyway, i agree with

Sadly, he may be with us for a while longer.

There are also dark whisperings of a secret Vatican intelligence agency called the Entity. But I don’t want to hijack the thread with it any further.

When I read that test to my sister she said that she was going to die soon then! But I had her try it, and she did it easily – probably in about 10 seconds (it’s longer than you think). If you have specific issues it might be harder, but it was not difficult for me either, and I have arthritis in my knees. We’re 73 and 74.

I could not do a kip when I was in high school, did gynastics, and weighed under 100 lbs. I really don’t see me doing it now. I can rise from a chair without using my hands, I did it 15x in short order but I didn’t time myself. I cannot get down on the floor without my hands, though I can rise with great difficulty. I used to be able to sit into and rise out of a crosslegged position. I used to be able to assume the lotus position and get up and walk on my knees. This was all well into my 40’s. Not so much anymore.

My knees are bad, and I just discovered I have sciatica and scoliosis. My left knee is a big issue these days. I can still touch my toes with my feet together, and I can touch palms to the floor with my feet about a foot apart. I’m still pretty flexible for 67 though I’ve lost a lot of strength. Getting old sucks.
