Oz always looks like he’s figuring out how to sneak in there and check for a pulse at those Oval Office pressers
Trump running low on adversity means the end is near.
A judge has ruled the parties are not “sufficiently adverse to each other”
Can you explain what this means? The article is paywalled.
In a nutshell, Trump can’t claim to be an adversary in any suit against the IRS because he controls the IRS. Since we have an adversarial system, the court can’t just cement a deal between Trump and the IRS because there’s no adversry there. Trump is simply making a deal with Trump and wants the court to give it’s seal of approval. This stems, in part, from Trump’s executive order where he takes direct control of institutions operating under the Department of the Treasury. The IRS, DOJ, and other institutions used to have some autonomy, but Trump took it.
Thanks for explaining it to me. I just thought it was funny that Trump could be lacking in adversity.
Between the corset and the bullet-proof suit jacket he is packed in so tight I doubt he could fully bend that far. He might just slip down inside the suit though. . .
Yeah, what the court is saying is “explain how this isn’t you the person in effect suing yourself the official.” The case is not dismissed but the court needs to hear how is this a real dispute and not just an excuse to order his own subordinates to pay him off. Which should have been explained to begin with when suing, but of course they didn’t to the court’s satisfaction.
Well, given that it’s trump, of course it’s going to be this. Duh.

Think of it this way… Trump gets no adversity from cronies, sycophants, and cultists who worship him. And nobody worships Trump more than Trump himself.
False alarm.
Why can’t humanity have anything good happen?
When the headlines said “Trump is safe!” I said in a deadpan monotone, “I’m so relieved.”
I was happy when he survived the first assassination attempt because I didn’t want him to be a martyr and I wanted him to live long enough to face justice.
Now I don’t care. The high road is a road to nowhere. If someone takes him out I no longer see a downside.
I get how you feel. Though there is one potential downside, I think. His supporters would use a successful assassination as a basis to start shooting their perceived enemies in the streets.
I think Minneapolis shows that we’re already there.
I get your point, but this is his supporters being “restrained”. If he’s killed, I would expect it to get much, much worse.
Me, too. I’d be delighted if Trump dropped dead from a stroke, preferably live, on TV, with lots of his supporters surrounding him. But i am terrified of what might come off an assassination, and i really don’t want to find out.
As I said in another thread, he had to do some jogging today and that had to put him closer to a stroke at least.
The heartbreaking part is the thought of all those cockroaches gathered together in the same place. A meteor, or a giant Monty Python foot, why not?
Or even a 16-tonne weight.
Remember Bambi meets Godzilla?
