Causing a rise in gasoline prices = helping the advancement of EVs.
Maybe.
But somehow I doubt that $5.00/gallon gasoline will cause millions of Americans to run out and buy an EV. Instead, they will either fork out the money and bitch about it, or drive less and bitch about it.
Now, if $5.00/gallon gasoline persists for a while, or even becomes the new normal, then EV sales will probably increase. That, and the buildup of charging stations nationwide.
This treatment is now contraindicated, since despite its effectiveness as an emetic, it also spikes blood pressure and cortisol levels.
