Port installation does require general anesthesia, though not necessarily an overnight hospital stay. But in 79-year-old Donald’s case, they likely did keep him through late Friday, resulting in all the stories about his being out of sight for several days.
Saturday he golfed, with the news stories and photos we’ve seen. Then today something happened that concerned the medical team, so they took him back to Walter Reed (resulting in the motorcade you witnessed).
If this IS the explanation, it doesn’t mean imminent death. Whatever they’re putting into Donald’s bloodstream, he could live for quite a while with those infusions going on.

Whatever the accuracy of his claims (what exactly are his claims?) Lev Parnas is a comical man.
I think when Trump’s health becomes compromised enough, the news will leak. There are certain mechanisms of government that cannot be left hanging while Trump drools all over himself or shits his pants one last time. Theoretically, the transfer of power could be limited to J.D. Vance and a very discreet judge but there is no way that Vance becomes POTUS and doesn’t immediately start shouting it from the rooftops.

The 25th Amendment is something of a mess as it has self-conflicting elements of providing for cases of presidential incapacitation BUT also preventing a palace coup, thus a very large part of it is about what happens if POTUS disagrees about his/her own incapacity — which is generally taken to mean it is expected to apply only when the incapacity is materially unquestionable and people wonder if in a sudden scenario that triggers the acting presidency ex proprio vigore or they still HAVE to call on the Cabinet to declare it.
IRL the 25th only been explicitly invoked as a voluntary measure by a president in SOME cases when they have been going under for medical purposes, but not all. The time when there was a very public sudden unexpected incapacitation (Reagan) there was the whole Al Haig “I’m in charge here” confusion at the White House.
