I really wish the press would ask him what this is. Only he can talk about asses?
The best hypothesis I’ve seen is that it’s a powered exoskeleton helping him walk;
If it is, it might be funny if it got hacked and controlled remotely.
I didn’t watch the clip, but that seems like the reporter offering him and off ramp. “I’ve been stumping all over the country for the last few weeks in the run up to the midterms and, yes, I’m sick of traveling and I need a few days to rest…” would’ve been a perfectly acceptable answer.
So I finally have an excuse to buy a drone with a nice ‘payload’ capacity. That estate will need anti-aircraft (SS with shotguns).
The above are all too great to not repeat. I’m sure I missed a few. Thanks guys.
I’d goosestep him right off a cliff!
My Twitter feed has a few people convinced that it’s because the Iran war is going to heat up this weekend (who think it is a good idea).
Now, I’m opposed to heating up the war (dead people are bad thing), but these folks apparently think it would be a good thing for the GOP. I’m pretty sure they are wrong (or at least hope so).
How else will they exploit the loophole in the rules of engagement that you’re allowed to wear the enemy’s uniform as a Halloween costume?
I think it’s more likely he’s trying to pull off some desperate weekend attempt to negotiate an end to the war, so he can crow about"another" war he ended (because to him you’re Gandhi if you can end a war you started in the first place).
Any escalation of the war is just going to galvanize people who are already pissed aff about it and its consequences.
And admit weakness? Never!
Exactly. Sleepy Joe Biden would have taken time off from campaigning for a nap. Not Trump!!
In general I think this thread is past its usefulness. And in general I’m out of the business of political prognostication. But what the hell.
It’s obvious he’s in bad shape, both because of the visual evidence and because of his sudden pivot to teleconferencing his rallies: this is a man who lives for adulation, and things have to be bad for him to phone it in. What seals the deal is the word he used to describe the reporter who asked him why he wasn’t going to rally in-person: “You’re sick,” said the living avatar of projection.
And it’s also obvious that he’s hearing the chatter about his flip-flopping, and that chatter has motivated him to return to in-person love-fests, despite his ill health.
So this is my prognostication: dude’s gonna stroke out this weekend.
If the devil were to claim his own tomorrow, that would be nice. I think, though, that the current rate of decline will continue for a while. Despite his parents’ longevity, he seems to be in rough shape, but alas not rough enough. I do wonder at what point they’ll realize that we should hold a president to a different standard of fitness than we choose to use for Congress.
Any time is good. And sooner is better than later. But…my wish would be for next Wednesday.
Let’s get through the mid terms.
A ketchup bottle bounces off a wall, strikes him in the forehead, and he dies of a cerebral hemorrhage.
The cancelled rallies have now been uncancelled, BTW.
Well, if Trump has decided to disregard medical treatment so he can continue flying around the country ranting incoherently, @Left_Hand_of_Dorkness might be right about this weekend! Let’s hope.
It wouldn’t bother me a bit if it happened in my home state of Kansas.
