This is absurd. There are literally one hundred plus videos of Assad on the internet. why don’t you confirm for yourself that he is a liberal and a secular man? And saner and sophisticated than Obama who contributed to murder of 300k Syrians due to interventionist policy.
Even if Trump himself is “not a bad person,” he is definitely giving power to people that I definitely think hold bad views.

Being “nice” is not a virtue when you repeatedly voice support for authoritarian regimes and spew counter-factual rhetoric. Being “nice” does not excuse ignorance.
People aren’t good sports. Many are unreasonable and angry for no reason. I wasn’t even supporting Trump by October-end, have mentioned it a couple of times. Have criticized him on diff issues as well…be it on climate change stand or on blanket ban on Muslims.
I am criticising American (Obama’s) policy in Syria from perfectly legitimate view point. It seems by shouting loud over here, people are hiding guilt.
Anyways, one should be happy and respecting and caring for others in life (I understand that internet and real life are different)… these worthless negative views by some posters mean nothing to me. I am just saying for their own sake that so much negativity makes their own life miserable…

You can intelligently disagree with Obama’s foreign policy in Syria without supporting Assad’s methodical and well documented campaign of cruelty against his own people. Conflating those Syrians who oppose him with ISIS fighters is simply a vile denial of the facts.

In wars, especially when you facing existential threats, these things happen. It’s not an ideal world. Opposition might not be same as ISIS but is guided by Islam only.
I have seen Islam at work in Indian subcontinent as well…in Pakistan, in kashmir, in Afghanistan etc…its easy to create war and terrorism in the name of Islam
You will see that all sects are supporting Assad which in itself is a tell-all sign.

Pls go to YouTube and type Assad , you will find plenty of long interviews. It can be easily figured that he is a calm, collected, sane, sophisticated, liberal, secular person.
