We had wars long before we had solar energy, horseless carriages, and trade in oil. There are plenty of other resources to fight over, not to mention ideologies.
Of course, Trump has actively argued against any of the science that would make your utopian dream come true, so how long should we give him a chance? Can we go back to hating him the minute he puts a roadblock in front of alternative energy sources? Or do we have to wait for some other event? (And can you tell us what that would be?)

Trump said he would have people tortured and their families put to death. He is very much a bad person. Everyone who cheered at that, everyone who continued to support him after he said it, they’re bad people too. I feel no desire to make an effort to like him or those who support him.
Trump is a loathsome human being. He was being sued for tying up and raping a 13 year old girl, but she dropped the lawsuit. He is still being sued for fraud.
Trump is not a good person. The best we can hope for is that the damage he inflicts is not as serious as some are worrying.
That is the best case scenario. He is only a little destructive. He causes a recession and a localized war rather than a depression and a major war.
Posts like yours which try to pretend Trump is a good person are not helping. That is like asking people to pretend Obama isn’t black.
Also Trump is the most dishonest politician in modern history. He lies constantly. You calling him honest shows a total lack of awareness of the situation.

He has said, on record, that the scientific work on Global climate change is a hoax, created by China to destroy American businesses. He said this.
Trump will destroy research into solar and alternate energy, he will encourage more burning of coal, he will tear up international agreements on climate change, he will do more damage to the planet than you can possibly imagine.
Imagine you have a car that is working OK, but not the best. There is a mechanic who advertises that he hates cars, and pretty much thinks that smashing them with a hammer is the best thing for them. His previous customers all are unhappy with his work. So you take your car to him, hoping for the best.
This is apparently how Trump supporters think. No amount of CLEAR evidence and facts will change their mind.

One of the things I didn’t like about Trump is the contingent of fringe type voters. I hope tho that the fringes of the alt-right turn on him FAST; I think they could. If this happens, I will like him a lot more.
I can certainly accept that not at all Trump supporters are bad people. I can respect that at lot of Trump supporters voted for Trump because they want a change in the establishment. In fact, I can even get behind that idea. But Trump is an undeniably terrible person and it is a shame that he is the one representing this message especially since there is little chance he will deliver on it.

Pessimistic view… as prosperity, technology and knowledge spread, there are less wars…solar power is already so cheap that it can replace dirty energy…been reading abt new Li ion battery lasting a life time…cars like model 3 n bolt coming up etc…
So if we can defeat Islamic backwardness (because all other religions have reformed according to 21st century), there are reasons to expect less wars in future…
