I feel the same way, politics aside, I could care less if the NFL, and really all organized sports were to go the way of the Dodo.
NASCAR is something like 15 years in to putting playoffs into the season, but still allowing everyone to participate in every race. It’s like a championship with participation trophies. They keep changing it up to make it exciting, but viewership has been falling for years. Details are just confusing.

Don’t any of these idiots know that this isn’t and never was a protest against the national anthem. Kap took a knee to protest police shootings of unarmed blacks disproportionately to the larger population (and subsequent acquittals in trials). It was his way of making a statement in front of a larger audience than speaking at a privately called news conference would reach. (I wish he used a different venue but I’m okay with it.) Yet I hear commentators/pundits/news idiots try to conflate a free speech/expression of solidarity with Kap as some sort of a protest against the anthem.
Well duh people are gonna try and make the conversation about something else.
