Trump Pit Thread

Save me some soap.

:eek::eek:

There’s a third option, one might, especially if their competence and issues approach is comparable, find one candidate more personally appealing than another.

After the shower, get involved in fixing the Republican Party so we no longer have to vote for one side by default because the other side has gone bullgoose loony. I personally believe we are made stronger with a good two(at a minimum) party system-it keeps both sides on their toes.

I thought vinyl cleaned up with just a damp sponge.

I didn’t think the republican party could cough up worse hairball than W, but both Trump and Cruz are complete shite. Where have you gone, Mittens?

Had Romney won in 2012, he probably wouldn’t have been terrible. Pairing Trump or Cruz with a republican controlled congress…still waiting on a puking smiley.

Me, too - even if we’re normally at opposite ends of the political spectrum.

I used to just think his campaign was funny. The recent uptick in violence at his rallies and his call for it makes this a whole lot less funny.

Do you guys think the protesters are helping or hurting Trump’s campaign? I’d like to say it’s hurting by stripping away the ‘hold your nose and vote for him anyway’ crowd, but I just don’t know at this point. I feel like I live in a different country.

The veneer has been stripped away, the ugliness has been exposed…and it has done nothing but attracted its like and those that are willing to tolerate its like to hold onto and/or gain power.

This catchall thread for Trump, Cruz, and Rubio was last active almost exactly two weeks ago.

Well, the motto of the board is about fighting ignorance, and most of the criticisms of Trump on this board are either factually wrong or, in the case where his few corporate bankruptcies are trumpeted but his many more successes are ignored, slanted so as to create a false impression and thereby increase ignorance as to Trump’s record and degree of success.

There’s a phenomenon at work on this board where correction of facts equals support for the accused. I would think that to any thoughtful person this would be a problem.

Do you support him?

She does have a weakness for mavericks.

I’m pretty sure most of us would take your word for it if you said you didn’t support him. Do you?

ETA: ninja’d.

Trump will not win. He will be defeated by his own baffoonery and lack of political acumen.

But what he’s done is expose how at least a third of the country thinks and believes. I fear that someone who is smarter, more politically capable and more charismatic will capitalize on this in the future. And that someone may actually succeed where Trump has failed.

Please, it’s Citrus-American.

I hope those Republicans that currently say they’d vote for Hillary over him stick to their principles. Do that and I might consider voting for a Republican say in 40 years.

My dream scenario is that Trump fails to get the majority of delegates and is denied the nomination after several dozen ballots. He then throws a fit and runs an independent wherever he can get on the ballot. His supporters either vote third party or sit out the election. It cripples Republicans downballot and we get the House, Senate, and several statehouses.

Let’s just say for the sake of argument that Trump’s failures are wiped from the record. Or let’s just say that Trump steak, vodka, water, university and casino were a commercial success.

Do you believe it would make him the best candidate for president? Please provide reasoning.

IMHO if Trump was smarter he would had run to the middle and tell his supporters to cool it so then the public would had seen him as the victim.

Instead he blabbed in quick succession about blaming Sanders, telling all that he condones the violence against those protesters and that he will pay for the ones that get into legal trouble for that. Then talking about his campaign now being about “payback”. (And then crazily claim later that there was no violence in his rallies, WTF?)

Not going to help among all Americans but his Republican base will continue to support him.

Now, now, I was only responding to a poster who suggested that there were no Trump supporters here, that there may be a few. I did say “may or may not” in your case. So, is it may? Or not?

Didn’t we already have one?
