This is ridiculous, and Trump is as well, so I assume best for the PIT.
My count is 12 emergency vehicles. Cop cars an Ambulance and some other large vehicle.
Of course we KNOW that Trump did not spend a dime on this. But we did. And so did everyone that was disrupted in traffic. He’s not the president. He’s a citizen (of dubious nature).
We are gonna pay for this idiot for decades to come.
There were two motorcades, right? One from Bedminster to the airport, then from the airport to Fulton Co. jail? I would really like to know who arranged these and who paid for them. Maybe the same PAC that’s paying his legal bills?
Why so many motorcycles?
I presume the SS guys are paid whether they are driving an SUV or not. It probably costs more than the gas, but what else? Aren’t all these guys paid anyway?
I also love that his booking stats were filed while he was still in this motorcade and before his plane landed in Georgia. Evidently, he is 6’3 and 239 lbs.
A-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
He might still be less than an inch over 6 foot, but I’m positive that he’s closer to double that weight…
The weight is ridiculous. Apparently they don’t actually weigh them. They either ask them or take the information off of other ID, say a driver’s license.
The motorcycle cops run interference by leap-frogging to the intersections ahead to block cross traffic. The vehicle train was ridiculous and apparently consisted of - along with the SS detail - other police agencies who got in on the show. I would imagine that the residents of Atlanta were properly pissed off to have that major arterial blocked for hours. There were two ambulances, ostensibly because a motorcycle cop fell over during the last motorcade taking Trump to jail, and there was no ambulance to provide aid.
Lackeys: We’ve used all available police cars and motor-sickles. All that we have left is an ambulance.
Trump: Does it have flashing lights?
Lackeys: Uh. Yes.
Trump: Put it in there.
They said the motorcycle riders are responsible for blocking off intersections ahead of the motorcade and unblocking them once the motorcade has passed. I’m not sure what kind of formation this requires.
One ambulance is “just in case” for the protectee. The second one is for their motorcyclists, in case they get injured while performing their duties. Apparently this has happened and it was the reason for adding the second ambulance.
