I also think that by calling the rally a “love fest” and denying that there was anything wrong with it, he’s explicitly endorsing everything that happened there.
And you’d normally say, no big deal, at this point anything Trump and his followers say is a fart in the wind and nobody will care. Except some of that stuff is getting traction, and becoming a problem. By refusing to denounce any of it, and even defending and promoting it, he’s making it worse.
(And I say, good for you Donny, keep doing that all the way to election day.)
Trump recently appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Tony Hinchcliffe is part of the Rogansphere of mostly unfunny comedians. He is probably one of his most frequent guests on the podcast. Trump was on the podcast two days before the rally.
Despite all that the best this GOP chair can do is tut tut. No spine. What a wimp. I am amazed at how people manage to ignore a threat staring them in the face. It should be the “Leopards Ate My Face” party.
There are some good comedians in Rogan’s orbit. Tom Segura is a funny guy who I’ve seen live. Anthony Jeselnik’s style is abrasive, but it’s clear that he’s playing a character in his routine and the things he says aren’t meant to be taken seriously.
Trumptroopers. After the MSG rally, why didn’t they commandeer the ferry and all ho hump the Statue of Liberty’s leg?
I have always believed that the most valuable gift that can be given to a young person is something worthwhile to do. Google proves that I’m hardly unique in thinking “bring back the CCC,” a remedy the American Left found useful in the 1930s. Then as now, It was the other side who preferred to send them into the streets to sling bicycle chains in an ecstasy of beguilement.
They are hoping to be considered “one of the good brown people “, and be allowed to have the position of loading people into the boxcars, rather than go in them themselves.
Comic Mark Normand txitted “Ironically, Tony Hinchcliffe could use a good PR person.”
That’s about the perfect joke for this situation.
I don’t want to presume what your knowledge base is but many on here don’t seem to understand the current entertainment landscape. Just a few weeks ago Hinchcliffe sold out MSG with a live taping of his podcast. Twice. Sold out in minutes. That’s almost 40,000 seats and tickets weren’t cheap. Each episode of his podcast gets millions of views and he’s put out over 600 episodes. The old ways of making money are not where money is being made today. Tldr: he’s in not in danger of going hungry.
