Trying to find music featured in a Simpsons episode

I’m trying to identify an opera solo that played in a Simpsons episode. The episode is the one where the town sets up its own film festival. The festival was won by Barney Gumble with a story that depicts his alcoholism and decline.

In the background towards the end of Barney’s short film (where he is lying on the bed with a breeze blowing through the window), there is an opera solo in the background.

Can anyone identify the piece of music?

According to Simpsons archive

I’m not sure if this is the piece playing at the end. Hope it helps!

greyseal thank you, that sounds right. Oddly enough I have a CD by my side entitled “The Best of Puccini” that includes absolutely nothing from Madame Butterfly even though that is one of Puccini’s most famous operas.
xash sorry, clearly I put this in the wrong forum

btw if anyone knows precisely which part of Madame Butterfly, I would be grateful

I think it may be One Fine Day (Un bel di), from the second act.

Thanks. When I saw your post I went out and found the appropriate Cd and that is, indeed, what I was looking for.
