(Old) Trying To Reason with Hurricane Season - A Hockey MMP

I think I could outfight two crows or at least keep them off long enough to get back into the house. I wouldn’t consider breaking up ten crows fighting, 200 would have me locking all doors and closing the curtains!

I hope your idea for your pond works, I’m sure the local wildlife misses it as much as you do.

Boy, did that bring back some horrible memories! Panty hose in the middle of an Arizona summer just sucked, but I needed the extra layer due to the death by AC when I was at my desk.

When you live out in the sticks, ya gotta take your entertainment where you can find it!

Sounds like! I hope you found your weed, you deserved a toke or two after all of that.

You take dogs to rat infested barns and let them go?

Oh wow, by now I’d be seriously wondering if bitch slapping her just once would cost my job or if I could claim self-defense.

You have my sympathy!

I agree with you, I can’t imagine a bank telling anyone that. Banks end up eating a lot of money due to fraud as well, one would think they would try harder to stop it from happening.

Sounds about right.

That’s another new thing here. I’ve never heard frogs peeping before and at first thought they were just loud crickets. I haven’t seen any in our yard, but Harry has bits of curved PVC pipe sticking in the ground for frog houses and I’ve seen the lil cuties hanging out there.

I’m sorry you have lost so many beautiful visitors, sometimes the cost of progress is just heart breaking.

Its hard to say NO when someone is excited about a plant, especially when its someone who doesn’t usually care about them.

I’ve read that the new flowers are “brighter” than the older ones so maybe give them a good shot of Miracle Grow for more blooms? I dunno, this is my first one as well.

Been there, done that! I’m glad you had such a great time and got a cute dress.

How frustrating. You trusted the folks who should have known what was going on and they let you down. That’s a cute chair, I hope its comfy!

Hubs says boats are holes in the water you try to fill up with money. It sounds like he’s right. I hope this isn’t horrible costly.

Couldn’t you pivot!

We would have been in a bit of trouble with his recliner if the back didn’t come off. I have double dorrs in my room, but it wouldn’t fit through the interior doors.

From what I understand, driveways are not cheap to have ripped out and redone, even if you aren’t putting in heating. I’ve flipped houses that cost less than the work happening across the street.

Here’s hoping the weather guessers are right about the rain tomorrow. It sure doesn’t look that likely today…

So today Hubs got dressed early and left for a motorcycle ride.

That left me unsupervised, so I got in my car and headed to Huntington to carb out at Fazzoli’s. I really missed them when they left AZ and was thrilled to see one next to the good dispensary. Hubs wouldn’t be able to eat anything there though.

It was still pretty good and the waitperson kept bringing me warm bread sticks. I’m still stuffed. I stopped at every yard and church sale I saw on the way, and then finished off by going to the big consignment mall. Nothing reached out and grabbed me, so no money was spent. (Glass unicorns were big in WV about 20 years ago, if I collected I would have made a great haul.)

It was a good husbandless day, he doesn’t like yard sales or browsing antique stores, so sometimes I just need a day to indulge myself. I was planning on stopping at the patisserie on the way home for some chocolate and coffee ice cream, but they were closed. That’s worrisome, they do a lot of business on the weekends.

Next week I’m going to load up my scooter and visit the big art museum, that’s another thing he isn’t interested in. He’s kind of a fuddy-duddy these days.
