They’re called “dollar votes” and you can bet they are going to lose some current ones keeping a blabber mouth Admin. Their business plan is nebulous, so I can’t say whether staff consider this good or bad. 
With all the fear of potential lawsuits and the SDMB always in shaky financial position, I can’t imagine why the staff would keep her in the position. Going to have to take those pleadings with big grain of salt from now on.
I trust that nobody will accuse me of being a sock puppet or a newbie. My personal opinion is that both TubaDiva and the administration of this board behaved irresponsibly in this matter. If it had been my decision, TubaDiva would have been suspended from all board activities for at least thirty days and permanently removed from any duties as adminstrator, moderator, or any other representative of this board. But it was not my decision to make. So I’m wishing the board the best of luck, hoping they don’t have cause to regret their decisions, recognizing I really don’t have a dog in this fight, and moving on with life.
Yeah, but that wasn’t thirty WORK days! If I have to put up with that bullshit way of counting by my bank, FedEx, and everybody else who wants to stretch out the period of their responsibility as long as possible I’m damn well going to demand it from the SDMB!
As for my opinion on TD’s reinstatement, I’ve never had an opinion in my life, but if I were inclined to have opinions I would ask TD to think longer and harder if she wants to continue in her position here in light of all of the problems XJETGIRLX listed, but especially because of That Big One. And if she doesn’t come to the honorable decision it should be made for her, though I’d’ve thought all of that would be taken care of over the past 30 days. Her admin position depends on the respect of the members and she has lost that from too many people who are not the usual crowd of complainers. Hand her a figurative pistol, show her to a virtual empty room, and start writing the press release about how she resigned because of health problems. We all fuck up but sometimes the piper isn’t satisfied with the buck you threw in his cup.

In Blue’s defense, he’s been posting since the beginning of March, which is halfway through the suspension. Plenty of time to read the background and form his own opinion.
I never really got the whole torches and pitchforks mentality concerning this issue. While I love the boards, I guess I don’t take it all quite as personally as others. Oh well, back to contemplating my corned beef.

We’re talking about a board administrator here, someone who’s partly responsible for and represents this little spot on the internet that we all, apparently, at least read and/or post to. Sorry to hijack, but what’s the difference between moderator (what TD used to be) and administrator (what her title says now)? I’m not sure what an administrator’s role in this message board is.
