TubaDiva is not fit to be in a position of power on this board.

Why? Because you don’t agree with us?

It seems that the whole thing is a mountain made out of a molehill. I saw Tuba’s post… and thought nothing of it. The fact that catsix is in my opinion a troublemaker really had nothing to do with it.

No problem.

It certainly wasn’t my intention to imply that you were somehow the root or cause of the problem. I was just trying to draw a general distinction between those who were criticising the mods/admins and those who, in this case, appeared to believe that this particular incident was being blown out of proportion.

And all that was, for me, little more than preamble or background for airing my own opinion about this whole issue.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Do you think then that the motives we’re ascribing to Tuba have no possibility of being correct? Or that it may be she was threatening harm/banning, but you think that’s fine?

A troublemaker? How quaint. You know, I was on the fence about catsix – no, I lie, I just didn’t like her, though in a vague, distant way. But now she’s been branded A Troublemaker I find myself switching sides. If she continues to Act Out will it go on her Permanent Record?

If Tuba was going to ban her, she’d ban her. I see no possibility of any harm being offered to catsix. I see no malice from Tuba, just irritation.

Gee, does this mean that my opinions posted on the board have any meaning in a larger sense? I never knew my opinions were so valued on the board!

Possibility of harm doesn’t enter into it; it’s whether a threat of harm occurred, which is against the rules. An empty threat, it may be, but empty threats are just as against the rules as real ones are.

Regarding banning, yes, I imagine if Tuba had the grounds to ban catsix, she would’ve been gone long ago. But, again, it could have been an empty threat - in which case Tuba was using her mod powers to threaten under her poster hat, which seems unfair as the two are clearly distinct under the rules.

Do you think she’s capable of trying her best not to be? Because if not, now you’re calling her a liar too. Maybe she can’t help but come off a little pissy, but if she honestly didn’t mean to, it’s not fair to crucify her for it. Hell, this is what should have happened, IMO:

catsix: So anyway where’s the cool stuff that you totally keep mentioning and not delivering?
Tuba: You’re a liar and I wish I could ban you, but I won’t.
catsix: …wtfingf?
Tuba: I don’t appreciate you inciting shit and getting up in my grill.
catsix: …I didn’t mean to lie or go aggro, really, I was just asking. I’m sorry if it came off wrong.
Tuba: Oh, I misunderstood your tone. I accept your apology. I’m sorry I snapped at you.

For the love of all that is good, why is the above an impossibility here? Is it Tuba? Is it catsix? Is it both? I don’t think so, actually, because despite each having a personality no one would ever describe as meek, they’re both adults. I think it’s ALL THE MOTHERFUCKERS CIRCLING AROUND THEM YELLING ‘FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!’

You know, I’m ready to make a new suggestion thread in ATMB that mod vs member fights – not “I don’t like this ruling” but “You have personally slighted me and now we must duel to the death” – not be allowed in the Pit until reasonable attempts have been made to settle it off-board first.

No, it means I found your assessment to be charmingly grade schoolish in its essence.

Okay… let me rephrase it… I see no threat of harm in that post. Is that specific enough?

Sure. What do you think **Tuba ** was “promising” catsix, then?

Troublemaker is a word I am allowed to use on this board. It is quite possible that the word I would have prefered to use may not be so well accepted.

Sure. Kill the fun for the rest of us. :stuck_out_tongue:

…So, new to the Pit, are you?

The words she posted that everyone is up in arms about is this little bit. (feel free to correct me)

Now, I don’t see a threat in that. It’s a statement of fact that she would like to promise her something. This was in response to catsix claiming we were promised upgrades in this statement.

catsix brought up promises that she claimed were not kept and that the promises were then denied by the staff. Then Tuba makes her statement and puts her own mention of what she’d like to promise.

That’s all there is to it. Tuba’s response was to catsix’s claim of promises that weren’t kept. Tuba did hint strongly that catsix was lying, which I won’t claim, but I will say that I do not remember promises that weren’t kept.

Anything like “inane screeching cuntsuck?” That’s what’s come to mind after reading all of your posts in this thread that you “left alone.”

I swear, there are so many cocks in this thread, I’m amazed that I can read my screen through the semen. I admit wholeheartedly that it’s been intensely entertaining to watch a bunch of people confirm others’ labels for them; tool, asslick, fucktard, shitstain… “By their actions shall ye know them.” And boy, oh boy - are they totally out-acting themselves.

Well, I’m not going further in hinting at what word I would have liked to have used, except to say that posters have been warned about its use… even in the Pit.

Hey, I like that. I may put it on my bumper. I posted twice before starting this spree… I considered that pretty much leaving it alone. Obviously, for the past little bit, I decided to stop leaving it alone.

Since I’m getting ready to leave my computer, I’m gonna start leaving it alone again for awhile.

Have a pleasant day. (and I really do mean that)

If i’m understanding you correctly, you’re suggesting that what Tuba was saying was that she would very much like to promise catsix upgrades - that Tuba was unable to promise all the cool things she’d like to, unfortunetly, but she’d like to be able to. Is that correct?

If it is i’m afraid I can’t agree. Look at the statement again:

Now that, to me, does not sound the way you suggest. If Tuba was pointing out she’d like to promise cool new things, why does she suggest it would be because of catsix’s “dishonest words and overall nasty ways”? Why would Tuba like to promise good things because of what she percieves as bad behaviour? It doesn’t make sense; what does make sense is that Tuba is saying “I’d like to promise you bad things; a comeuppance” - that would be in line with her characterization of catsix.
