I’m going to be “back home” in Tucson December 16 - 30…
…anyone wanna get together and do something? Tucson would be easier for me to plan… we’ll only be in Phoenix for a few days and I don’t yet know which days those will be.
(And why didn’t I get a memo when Coffee, Etc. closed down!?!)
My personal suggestion: Dinner at La Indita on 4th Avenue. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in the universe, it’s totally adorable, and it’s cheap cheap cheap.
I can’t make it to Tucson wail and I really wanna attend a Dopefest! I have to make sure my kiddo has a safe area to be in, she runs FAST!!! She’s autistic and three and a half years old. Somewhere with a playground, would that be possible? Nothing too natural, like hiking or mountains. Is that feasible?

Now, see that? Any other year, I’d be in Tucson- as my parents would be there visiting my sister- but no; not this year. I’ll not be anywhere near AZ, and this is the year you want to do this.

My mom has already arranged our Winterhaven thing. She’s actually getting us a carriage ride through for me, my husband, my son, herself, and my former godmother*. (Expensive, but hey–it’s her money!)
*under bizarre circumstances, my godmother resigned. We’ve since reconnected, but she isn’t my godmother anymore.
I wouldn’t be able to go to Tuscon, but would love to meet you here in Phoenix. Any word on the dates?
Opal, it looks like that date is not good for me after all. My dad has convinced me to go with him to Wyoming (I know, I’m crazy), and he’s leaving on the 21st. I’ll be around 'til then, though.
