Turkey Time MMP(Somebody's gotta do it!)

Dog, smog, already!

Looks like I have an hour or so to kill before we leave for the plant to see the aircraft. I get the impression that these guys are concerned about having a “girl” looking at their engineering stuff. I guess my 15+ years of actual design experience needs to come to their attention…

MOOOOOOM you should take paint and wallpaper samples with you. Tell ‘em you’re goin’ to completely redecorate the plane’s interior and exterior. It’ll be fun!

**swampy **- it’s not a plane - it’s a UAV, so redecorating isn’t an issue. Besides, I lack your *faaaaaaabulous *flair and I don’t think I could pull it off. :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe you should bring them some nice little cupcakes or something, **Moooooom **LOL
Wow, I’m actually up & semi awake.
Today is PB’s graduation from his Logistics training & his wifey is very proud of him, so I’m going along to clap & cheer and holler and WOO! & thoroughly embarrass him when his name is called
Not a lot planned for the rest of the day, except my husband got graham cracker crusts >.< for the Pecan pie… which will not work… so we got to take 'em back. I suppose I ought to lean to make real crust, but Thanksgiving when I got half a dozen people coming over is no time to experiment! Maybe next year…

Anyhow. Here ya go, Rosie, my Super easy Pistachio cake:

You need:
A box cake mix ( yellow is best)
2 or 3 packages pistachio pudding
whipped cream
chopped nuts (optional)

add 1 or 1/2 envelope dry pudding to dry cake mix
mix cake according to package directions
When cake is baked & somewhat cooled, mix rest of pudding & pour over cake, coating evenly. put in the fridge to chill.
when cake is cold, “frost” with whipped cream & sprinkle nuts on top, if desired.

Blurf. I actually got to work when I wanted to so I’ll be able to leave at 4:30.

Yay for you ShinyCat! If there are others who must stay later than 4:30 be sure to give the royal wave as you walk by.

MOOOOOOM you would be a hit if you brought an assortment of Hostess Twinkies and Cupcakes. A few assorted Hostess Pies would be nice as well. What? Hostess ain’t dead yet.

I’s hongry. I shall waste away to nuttin’ in the approximately 59 minutes until **N.O.L.**time I just know it. Plus, my orifice is across from the break room so I’ll be forced to smell all that nummy Sonny’s bbq goodness as it’s bein’ brought in. Oh the humanity!

Had to — if for no other reason than to warm the cockles of your little Whiskeypalian heart!
Yo Doggie!!! Long time no hockey season. How are you surviving?

I like hearing all the various turkey tales. I just packed off Her Ladyship to visit some of her relatives for the week leaving me several options:
a) a neighbor invited me down with her family for smoked turkey, ribs and chitlins ---- and this lady really knows how to sling a chitlin.
b) Take Aunt Sister Jean to the Grand Concourse with some friends of ours – and the Grand Concourse is very aptly named
c) Run out toward Scranton with my clan
d) have a colonial Thanksgiving with some other re-enactors in an actual historic site
e) grab a wad of singles and go to the one local nudie bar for free turkey sandwiches

Not sure which I’ll do (or combination of things) but one thing is for sure ----- I ain’t cooking and I ain’t losing weight!

Spidey, around me anything can be blown up. Who else do you know who gets Christmas cards from GOEX?

Either way all I can say is hubbahubba!!! BTW Santarchy is quickly approaching = like 18 days? (Dec 8th I believe)

I’m about 2 miles from the ballparks but I do tend to roam. If you want to do lunch or anything give me a shout. Will PM the home number just in case.

PS – any Mumpers passing close (and I consider like 50 miles close) are more than welcome to the number. I know places to eat or grab a beverage that even the owners can’t find all the time. :smack:

Ruble indeed my heart cockles are all warm and toasty.

Twenty-seven minutes until **N.O.L.**time. I’m wastin’ away!

A buttprint scanner?

At the rate decision-making for Thursday is going, we may well be hitting either a buffet place (last Thanksgiving, it was Chinese, but they did have turkey, so I was happy) or a dim sum place we like. Must figure this out with DH.

Nettie I vote for dim sum. YUM!!!

BBQ, Brunswick Stew, baked beans, slaw, N.O.T. chips, German chawklit cake and pee-kahn pie has been ingested. I am now not wasted away.

I have contracted man-flu aka The Sick that mr ems brought home and has knocked him on his ass for a couple of days.

I am at work right now - with the door shut so I don’t breath on anyone as I had a couple of conf calls but I am going home here in about 45 mins to feel sorry for myself. But at least I will be feeling sorry for myself in my jammies at the house instead of wrapped up in my coat and scarf and hat in my office as I can’t keep warm.

hugs and blurfs to all!

So, I got a cell phone for my mom, but I can bring it in person instead of mailing it ASAP cause it turns out she GOT a throwaway cell phone, lol. Mine’s better though  But it can wait 'til I fly up there.

Off to take ANOTHER typing test, as the one I took previously apparantly wasn’t ‘the right one’, blurf.

I am through with written comprehensive exams! Now comes the anguish of waiting to see if I passed or not. :stuck_out_tongue:

Cool.

Thanks Flytrap

Took trash to the dump, stopped at Lowes, and bought the rest of the groceries needed to make turkey dinner. I have no plans to leave the property until Saturday at the soonest.

The feeding frenzy can go on without me.

BBBobbio my Lowe’s does not have a grocery section. Should I be jealous? :stuck_out_tongue:

Chikin pot pie is in the oven gettin’ it’s bizkit crust all brown and nummy. I actually took the biiiiiiiiig one I made and turned it into two smaller ones. One for the freezer and one for tonight’s dindin. It’ll be nice to pull out the frozen one in a couple of weeks, let it thaw whilst I am at irk and then put the toppin’ on before bakin’.

Also, it’s kinda drizzly out. Wish it would just go ahead and really rain.

Well, smartypants, my Lowe’s doesn’t have groceries, either, but the last time I was in Indianapolis, the Menard’s in Carmel did. Not complete groceries, but just enough snacks and the like to bribe the people you have over to move your stuff and/or paint the joint.
