Turkey Trots To Water- A Holiday MMP

I haven’t been able to connect to my office computer since Wednesday. (Yes, I was on vacation, but still…) I have a feeling my password expired. Last night I sent an email to our receptionist since she starts work very early, and asked her to see if she can log on; and if not, to change my password.

A box of little furry friends would be welcomed gleefully-the more soft fur to admire the better.

So the receptionist was able to log on using my password. I still can’t. She restarted my PC at my desk, and I restarted my Mac here. No joy. Now I have a service request out to IT.

Are you using a program to connect, or a VPN?
I connected via VPN, joined my home PC to the work domain, and I can remote into my work pc or any other computer at work.

I connect to my computer via VPN, and then use Microsoft Remote Desktop to see my computer.

I contacted IT. They did an update Wednesday (the last day I was able to log on), and broke the VPN, Once they were made aware of the problem, it was resolved pretty quickly.

Would have been the perfect time to ask them “Did you turn it off and then back on again?”
