TV-evangelist Benny Hinn - a false prophet

Here are some of Benny Hinn’s propechies

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benny_hinn#Examples_of_questionable_prophecies

Why do people continuing to follow this rat when he made prophecies that obvious didn’t came through ?

You’re pitting (in the usual sense, not the SDMB sense) logic and reason against religious fervour? Good luck.

Dude, the missed prophacies are only half of this quacks entertainment value. His whole laying on of hands and spiritual healing schtick are a true sight to behold.

Speaking from the perspective of someone who is religious, I’ve never understood how one can preach that God is mysterious and that we aren’t meant to understand everything about His will, and then turn around and say, “Oh, but I know EXACTLY what God is planning, when and where, because I’m special.”

All together now:

Lions and tigers and bears!

Lions and tigers and bears!

Lions and tigers and bears!

“You’re going to have people raised from the dead watching this network.”

Well, that explains a lot…

They’re mistakenly expecting pretty girls, cheap humour, and Yakety Sax?

Please tell me where this quote comes from.

Just in case it’s not a whoosh - that comes from The Wizard of Oz.

You’re pitting Benny Hinn? God will smight you dead. They’re buds.

Not to mention, having committed to something so demonstrable falsifiable – your predictions will either come to pass or they won’t, and they never do – how do you then have the brass to continue to predict or, more to the point, how can people be so stupid as to still believe you?

“The world will end today!” World doesn’t end. Next day: “No, no – the world will end today!” World doesn’t end. Next day: “This is the day the world will end!” World doesn’t end. Apply more Stupid, lather, rinse, repeat.

To be fair, he never specified which nineties.

Oh man, I’m never putting Castro on my death pool list.

Well, he did leave himself an escape hatch. “Unless the Lord changes his mind” indeed.

You’re thinking thinking of Benny Hill, the TV comic. The OP is talking about Benny Hinn, spokesperson for the Ginsu knife.

Better duck, tdn, or your hair is gonna get mussed.

Because all the other prophets out there today are the real deal.
Now I wanna start a thread titled TV-commedian Benny Hill-- false prop pants!

Religious programming is generally good for one thing and one thing only: Drinking games.

Pick a phrase, word or mannerism and drink every time you see it. You can make it as complex as you like. Designate rules and punishments. I’ve never been let down by that one fat black lady…can’t remember her name. I’m sure she’s a nice person but her tv sucks. Might as well get shitbombed to it.

The Lord: PSYCHE!!! HAHAHahahahahayaloser!

Hey, just because it happened to you…

Oh, he came…then turned right around when he saw all the shit being done in his dad’s name.

Abraham knows *exactly *how that feels.
