Well, what they changed was arranging the stories into chronological order, instead of the haphazard way they aired, and removing the beginning and end bumpers that had Ancient Eyepatch Indy. They are otherwise untouched, as far as I know, and are still fine entertainment in this form, arguably improved (apart from Corey Carrier ageing rapidly in one story).
Seconded! ![]()
Hill Street Blues - ran for seven seasons, only the first two have been released on DVD.
NYPD Blue - ran for twelve seasons, only the first four have been released on DVD.
Hopefully the release of the first season of “Maverick” will be followed by the remaining episodes. Or at least all the ones with James Garner.
“The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis” Fortunately my cable system has added Metv so there are some episodes available at 6AM. Just when Maynard G Krebs is going to sleep.
I’d be interested in “That Was The Week That was” because of Tom Lehrer but I wonder how much a topical comedy show from the mid 60s holds up.
“Hullabaloo”
“Shindig”
“Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert”
All episodes of Phil Silvers/Sgt Bilko
The remaining seasons of The Muppet Show
I have this mental image of Tommy Westphall with his brain wired up to a DVD burner and people yelling at him “think hard, what happened next?”
Remaining? I can’t find ANY. Thanks for that post though.
Also:
Happy Days
Rest of $6M Man (yes you heard me)
Rockford Files
Monty Python (I’ll settle for a best of here; some of that stuff was painfully unfunny)
Brady Bunch (again: yes you heard me)
Odd Couple
Love American Style
Damn am I the only one who grew up in the 70s?? ![]()
I almost forgot: the GOOD episodes of Bugs Bunny, WITHOUT some newfangled crapola which tries to tie it together - just one after the other, how we used to watch it on cable back when. Not the crappy ones that came out from about the 60s on out either. That’s like watching the 3 stooges with shemp. ugh. Oh and Wonder Years was a good call too.
I think all of the regular episodes have been released, at least on region 1. According to Wikipedia, all that’s missing is volume 2 of the reunion movies.
While there I discovered that a theatrical reboot is in the works to star Vince Vaughn.
Links to seasons 2 and 3 also on that page.

The first 3 seasons have been available on DVD for quite a while (season 3 was released in 2008).
ETA: Ninja’d!
“Batman” the 1960s tv series. Complete with the various cameos of actors like Edward aG Robinson everytime the Caped Crusaders are climbing the outside of a building
Links to seasons 2 and 3 also on that page.
Thx!
Viva Variety - can only find a scant few clips on YouTube.
The John Larroquette Show. Especially the first two seasons.
You just reminded me of another: Baa Baa Black Sheep. Not a “great” show but better than most of the crapola on now.
It might be too early to complain but Sym-Bionic Titan deserves a DVD release, as is if you want to check out this cool little cartoon you have to download TV rips from the internet.

The first season’s been released on DVD in the United States but in a ridiculously overpriced package. They split the season into two volumes and released each separately for forty dollars.
Inexplicably, they released the second season but not the first season in the UK.
What a joke. It wasn’t THAT good.
Talk to me when it hits the $14.95 discount bin. For the entire season that is.
