Grien, this is no big deal. Certainly it’s not worth throwing away all of the time you have invested here. You’re a very passionate person and feel things deeply. You reacted from your gut instincts in both threads.
If your first instinct was correct and USAMA is someone trying to bait us with just his user name and he/she gets you to quit posting because of it, then he wins! You don’t want that to happen. Nobody does.
If you were mistaken and no one was about to use the name to troll, then – hey, everybody makes mistakes and as one of my favorite characters in a movie said:
No one gets their shit together once and for all. You had a tantrum. Yes you did! And then a bunch of us threw sticks and stones. We certainly hurled a bunch.
The truth is that you don’t know the motives of the person who chose “USAMA” as a username. You can suspect, but you can’t know for sure. Are you going to allow your presence here be manipulated by someone who hasn’t even posted?
The childish response to not having your way would be to take your toys and go home.
There are several responses that you can make that will not leave you humiliated and angry. I strongly urge you to discover those solutions.
Most of us have been in your shoes at one time or another. I think my response once was to hide under a bush and cry in the dark for about thirty minutes. I was seventeen and really pissed and hurt. But then I felt dumb because I had to come out from under that bush sometime and face my friends. I hope you handle this with a little more grace than I did. I think what I said was something like, “I fucked up.” Only I sounded kind of like a duck because my nose was stopped up. At least it make my friends laugh. Forty-four years later we’re still in touch.
