Two questions

I haven’t been here in a while, so I have forgotten how things work.

  1. Can members not continue to use the board if they choose not to subscribe?

  2. I see in the forums that there are only two pages of threads in each - am I missing something?

Thanks.

  1. Don’t never use no double negatives. (I’ll decipher it and get back to you soon.)

  2. There is a default when forums are listed. MPISMS shows threads updated in the last day. For GD it is 10 days. Lists typically turn out to be between 1 and 3 pages.

  3. (again) I think if your membership lapses then you can still lurk. And your posting privileges will be restored once you pay up. I don’t recall any mention of losing your post count or any such thing. Members are not usually deleted – as evidenced by the fact that there are 40 something thousand members but the estimated number who have posted in the last few months is one tenth of that.

Thank you. And I don’t think that’s a double negative!

  1. If they chose not to subscribe, their status switches to “Guest”. They may continue to use the boards in read-only mode. They will not be able to post to any threads. Some features, such as “Search”, will be disabled. Their post count will be retained, just not displayed in threads. If at a later time they wish to subscribe, all member privileges will be restored. They may subscribe at any time in the future, even after their trial period expires.

  2. Refer to j_sum1’s post.
