6 new episodes, new ghost, new vamp, new jobs. episode 1 starts on 3 feb.
thus far the teasers are that tom and hal have been fired from the cafe and find new jobs at a hotel. hal is in"detox", but does have a bit of a set back, and evil lurks at the hotel.
i’m figuring the job is not at fawlty towers…
i’m looking forward to alex the new ghost and hal the new vamp.
i think she will do well. i really like her hair cut, and her dismay at being stuck in date clothes for her ghostly life.
hal seems to have more layers than mitchell, i guess that is what happens when you are over 500 years old. he does have a way about him.
Season 3 of the US (Canadian?) version just started on SciFi. I saw a preview and it looked interesting, so I Netflixed S1 and S2 to get caught up. It took awhile to get into, but I’m really enjoying it now.
The UK programme “Being Human” had six episodes in the first series, eight in the second, third and fourth series and six in the fifth series. The US television program “Being Human” has thirteen episodes in each of three seasons. But there’s nothing to reconcile. The US program is an adaption of the UK programme. Once they got past the first few episodes, the storylines diverged.
I can’t decide whether to be happy or disappointed at the ending. It all seemed very tidy for a show that has done messy endings for most of its run, although there was the final shot of the origami which was clearly supposed to be a clever “twist” (although I’m not sure what - that one of them took the deal?).
There were the usual deft comic touches - the comment about the Employee of the Month competition was hilarious and I laughed loudly at the “Interlude” video. All in all, a good watch. Might even be worth considering the boxset if and when it comes out.
yep, that was it. thankfully they knew bbc3 wasn’t commissioning a series 6 and was able to have it come to an end. there will be an extra scene on the dvd when it comes out.
