Is this a hotel or a brothel? Sounds like fun anyway!
Kabbes - you’re selling your house already? Did the landlady at the pub accross the road ban you?
I wish you were coming this weekend.
Here ya go - :dubious:
And it’s official: Washte and missen ain’t going, which sucks.
No, more tragic than that. Mr Paws got run over about a month ago and we decided what we kind of knew all along - that living on a fairly busy road is simply unfair when you keep cats.
We can afford bigger ‘n’ better now anyway. We have an offer accepted in principle on a medieval house that was modernised in 1754 (truly) in a very quaint little village about 10 miles away, so we just have to sell before somebody else gets in there first.
Well thank you. I wish you were going too. No, hang on. I wish I was going
Y’all have fun now. Specially you, Fran. I’m there in spirit.

My one didn’t sound Russian … and I think she said her name was Jane, not, I dunno, Rusalka or something.
But she definitely wanted me. Oh yes.
7:30pm
Stagger to New Street to get the 19:45 train to University Station.
7:52pm
Arrive at University Station, wander through University of Birmingham campus to get to the curry house.
8:00pm
Sit in the Shapla deciding what to order.
After the curry
Go to one of the many drinking establishments on Bristol Road? Or back into town?
Oh, and if anyone gets lost/has trouble finding the Old Joint Stock, call me. Email me on nazjetha@yahoo.co.uk and I’ll give you my mobile number.
And, dang it all, I shall miss kabbes too.
That sucks big time Kal, it would be great to have the two of you there.
Tir (and Garius, if you survive), see you in the station bar, Virgin permitting.
Am now off to a colleague’s “going away for a while” curry-and-vodka “do”, in preparation for tomorrow. Practice makes perfect and all that.
Please summerise exactly where and when we are meeting.
Just for the hard of thinking y’know.
Oh and if anyone is going round Cadbury world, or maybe the Cycle show at the NEC put up that information too.
Cheers.
No Kal, no Washte, no kabbes. Buggeroo.
But, on the other hand, there’ll be me, and Rocky the penguin.
And damn i looking forward to meeting that Penguin!
as to meeting you…
…eh.
shrugs
Don’t forget the bechamel sauce!
Well, y’all need somebody to keep the boards warm for ya.
It is a pity that Rocky the penguin won’t get to meet Washte’s sidekick, Moosey the moose. He would attend, but is going to be spending most of tomorrow in the washing machine.
Kal - Who is seriously damaging his image by posting about his wife’s favourite cuddly toy (besides him, of course).
And that link works if you c&p it.
Stoopid bloody moose. Gets all the damn cuddles, I tell ya.
I’ve emailed my mobile number to Angua, Frannie, and Tir just in case I get hopelessly lost.
Sucks you can’t make it Kabbes. Where are you moving that can be more quaint than Dorking?
casdave - the key meeting point is as follows: 2pm, at a pub called The Old Joint Stock, near the cathedral. The address is 4, Temple Row West. Temple Row West is off Temple Street, which is off New Street. Angua gave some directions a couple of pages back (summarised - leave New Street Station via Pallasades shopping centre, New Street exit is by perfume shop, turn left up New Street, Temple Street is 3rd on left, at top of Temple Street and round the left of the cathedral is the pub)
Those arriving earlier by train are meeting in the station pub at 1pm. It’s on the platform side, and station staff check you’ve got a ticket at the divide between the platform side and the shops side.
Just a reminder that those of us Left Behind will expect a Brumdope report in full and explicit detail. Pictures would be even better (with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence against the relevant parties).
I daresay that will be arranged, once we’ve all recovered. Photos will also be provided for your viewing pleasure.
