Ultimate Simpsons Poll

So…was Michael Jackson REALLY in the episode where Homer goes to the mental institution? I haven’t seen it in forever, so I wouldn’t know, but it doesn’t sound like him on the “Songs in the Key of Springfield” CD…

Ah. I see searching for “John Jay Smith” on IMDB, then clicking on “Actors”, “Composers”, “Directors”, and “Writers” all bring you directly to Michael Jackson’s IMDB file.

Man, do I feel stupid today. And I thought I was such a Simpsons fan!

However, Jackson did NOT sing. That was an impersonator named Kipp Lennon. For some legal reason, Jackson could speak, but not sing.

Best Kent Brockman Moment:

“In light of these events, would you say it’s time for our viewers to crack open the skulls of their neighbors and feast on the goo inside?”
“Yes, Kent. Yes I would.”

Aaaaaaaaah. Thank you so much. I was wondering who “Kipp Lennon” was who was listed on the back of the CD. Things have really wrapped up nicely (ooh, much quicker than usual).
