In another thread, which I do not wish to hijack, DaFrigginDoctah mentioned that “two fucking faggots” raped his sister. While I sympathize with his siser, I questioned the use of “two fucking faggots” (which seems not only hateful, but highly inaccurate).
DaFrigginDoctah replied, “Eve, I used the words I use to describe them because every time I think of them I get a murderous feeling deep inside of me. That murderous feeling may come out to my attitude and vocabulary.
How dare you say that these two people are too good to be called faggots by questioning my feelings towards them. You go to hell.”
I have a feeling that DaDoctah, Friggin or not, is already toast. It never fails to stun me that people like him still exist in this day and age . . . I can only hope for everyone’s sake that it’s not his fault—maybe he’s only 12 years old and was raised by wolves. Homophobic wolves.
Well, OK, but it does seem a little unfair to present a quote out of context… I did a search and if it’s the thread I found, you appear to be misquoting… certainly the word ‘faggots’ is there, but not ‘fucking faggots’
Hasty addition… Not that I would in any way condone DaFrigginDoctah’s sentiments, and I’m not trying to criticise, I just think a link is helpful, is all.
You’re quite right, Mangetout, in that I did misquote the esteemed Doctah. The gentlemen in question were “2 drunken, stoned faggots,” not “fucking faggots.” Though they were, by definition, also fucking.
As far as it being “unfair to present a quote out of context . . .” In just what context would such a quote be permissable?!
What I find most frightening is that he defends his use of the term “faggots” with the explanation of his deeply murderous feelings.
Regardless of DaFrigginDoctah’s attitude toward homosexuality (about which I will make no assumptions), that is a very upsetting thing to say. Whether Mr. Doctah intends to or not, he conjures up the horror of hate crimes.
And “too good to be called faggots?” That is just wrong.
Ugh.
