I just realized that I named Kate Micucci twice. She just has that effect on me. Even when she’s dressed up as a pot plant.
How about when he dresses as a Tasmanian she-devil?
She’s not exactly a pin-up poster material, but I’ve always found Emma Thompson to be very attractive.
At this point, I think she’s so common as an uncommon crush that she’s become a common crush. If you’re into the “cute” and “quirky” kind of sexy, she’s just off the charts.
Unfortunately, I watch more Internet video than TV/Movies now, so I don’t know how well I can contribute. I mean, I think Calluna (Heather McDonald) is hot in an unconventional way. And Zsuzsanna Dancso is a hot mathematician. (I leave out Hannah Fry because she’s more conventionally attractive, I think.) But those are all women on YouTube.
Would someone like Aisling Bea count? The comments on the panel shows she appears on always crush on her, but she’s not someone who comes up in “hottest celeb” lists or anything.
Edit: Ooh, I know. Another panel show regular that people look at me askance about: Sue Perkins, especially when she was younger.
Well, sure, but she’s no Cariad Lloyd.
Despite her having a somewhat oddly-shaped head, I remember crushing hard on Pam Tillis when she had a few big country hits back in the '90s. I guess liking her music helped. “Maybe It Was Memphis” is a great song.
I still think she’s cute in her own way.
Perhaps not a beauty in traditonal sense but I could stare at Sofia Coppola for the whole day.
She and everyone else in it was at her most beautiful in Much Ado About Nothing.
I’d have to go Sam Rockwell, although it’s more worship of him than a crush exactly. Also Steve Coogan.
Heh. A friend of mine has his face tattooed on herself. Another friend has Jerry Orbach tattooed on herself.
She should, she’s the most beautiful person in the entire world!
That reminds me, there’s an Australian celeb I like who always reminds me of Cariad - Anne “Eddo” Edmonds.
And then there’s Celia Pacquola, Michala Banas, and Julia Zemiro.
If you can count Olympic level figure skaters as celebs, circa 1988 Jill Trenary.
That’s pretty obscure.
Also Angie Bompenseiro from the Sopranos.
Bryce Dallas Howard. I don’t think it’s unusual since she is gorgeous but maybe uncommon since she isn’t marketed as a sex symbol.
I could probably fill this thread to overflowing just with redheads.
I don’t know how unusual it was, but as a kid my celeb crush was for Pam Dawber (Mindy from Mork & Mindy). I’d choose her over Farrah Fawcett any day.
More recently, while I enjoy track & field whenever it’s on TV, I’ll always take time to stop and watch when Allyson Felix is running.
I wasn’t going to point out all mine are redheads because that would be weird.
My big older-women crushes when I was a teenager were Bernadette Peters, Marilu Henner, and Jan Smithers.
Ditto, well, except my crushes are men. However, I do know other people who like most of them (like Eric Balfour and Andrew Lee Potts).
One no one else I know mentions is Ennis Esmer. I’ve only seen him in* Dark Matter *and *Blindspot *so far, but he’s oddly appealing.
I seem to only like Kirsten Dunst when she has blue hair.
