Yeah, but from the pictures I’ve seen of the Pink Tank, its more a fushia colour. It looks scary all right.

Woo, another Londope! If I’m feeling vaguely human on the 31st (got a big night the night before), I’ll try to pop along for dinner or whatever. Though I have a feeling I’ve got something planned for the 31st already, it can’t be all that important if I can’t remember what it is.
Well, looks like I won’t be able to make it on the 31st sulk, so you’ll just all have to go to Belgos without me.

No, you’re not being thick. We are meeting up on the 24th, and on the 31st. The 24th is the “early” Dopefest that arose out of Tir’s thread, and various comments about March being ages away. That’s going to be at the George Inn.
The 31st is when Tapioca Dextrin’s going to be in Reading, and something small and impromptu is to be organised for then. I think another thread hasn’t been started on that one since two Britdope planning threads would get silly.

But with my wedding coming up next month, a plane ride and expensive boozing weekend is out of the question.
London’s just so cool! There was a time when I visited every two weeks (courtesy of an ex-GF). Couldn’t get enough of the place. Was going to move there, but the relationship stranded (and damn, am I happy now that it did!). I still “miss” London in a weird way. Even though it’s never more than an hour’s worth of flight away.

Belgo’s IS a tad crowded and warm, especially the one near Convent Garden. The food’s not bad, but I agree with Gyrate that it’s expensive. Oh well, I’m Dutch, everything’s expensive to me.
