Up All Night: An early(or late) MMP

That’s not really what I would consider passive-aggressive, is it? More like my trademarked withering sarcasm.

I am mean. I’ve been told that I am mean. I am mean because I dare to expect an adult to act like an adult. I’m just mean. Mean! Mean! Mean!

I’m also hongry. Hongry and Mean. Accordin’ to several commercials I’ve seen I think this means (HAR!) I should eat a Snicker’s.[sup]TM[/sup] However, I’m not a fan of Snicker’s.[sup]TM[/sup] One can then infer that only mean people don’t eat Snicker’s.[sup]TM[/sup] So, I’ll eat my sammich instead.

-swampbear (Meanly)

You’re mean when it comes to guppies and cardinal fish, I’ll give you that.
Darn mean!

Do as I say, not as I do, huh? :stuck_out_tongue:

Eep…

One of my friends who was supposed to be coming to my birthday games night didn’t show up. He’d told one of the others that he was coming only a few hours previously… We thought it was odd, but he originally said he wouldn’t be able to make it, so we just assumed something had come up.

Apparently he hadn’t been feeling well, and thought to try give himself a bit more energy, he should down a bottle of Lucozade.

It turns out the reason he wasn’t feeling well was undiagnosed type 1 diabetes, and his blood sugar was already too high… he wound up being rushed to hospital, where he’s been for the last few days

I feel pretty bad about it- he was probably trying to feel better so he could come out :frowning:
Luckily, it sounds like he’s OK now, or at least will be once he’s adjusted to it all.

Anyone have any good recommendations for diabetes safe snacks I can bring to juggling club? We always have a big heap of biscuits (cookies if you prefer), and I feel like I should bring an alternative he’ll be ok with while he’s still trying to get used to all the diet changes…

Nuts, anything low or no carb would be good for your friend. meat based snacks, cheese, or a veggie tray would be a good start. Ask him what he likes.

Advice from a Type II, of course.

ETA: He can eat the cookies, but he’ll have to shoot up after eating them.

A friend of mine who takes insulin assured me that I must take sympnoi out of the fridge and let it warm up before an injection. Also told me that when he was being taught to inject himself, the nurse said, “Mr. Smith, you need to open your eyes.”

Upon injecting myself for the first time I said to the nurse, “S–t! I thought it was going to be like Star Trek!”

Spidey I’m as adulterated errr… adult like as I should be at irk. Also, in other situations where I know I should act all growed up, I can do so. I’m mean because I expect the same of others in situations where one should be an adult. I’m mean because I won’t do things for others that they are capable of doin’ and should be doin’ themselves. Mean, I am!

In other news it’s so wonderful outside right now! Mid 70s, sunshine, blue skies and here I sit up to my butt in paperirk stuff. It used to be up to my ears, so at least it’s shrunk somewhat.

I don’t wanna be here!

Home from letting hellpup out. Well really her sister riverpup. I said I’d keep coming over a while longer.
I stopped at Ginos on the way home since I had to run by the post office and Ginos is right next door. Bad timing because it had me going past the high school when school let out.

It’s nice out now, the sun is shining and it’s 51 degrees.

Howdy from da cave! Actually from the cave’s back porch. 'Tis a wondrous 76 Amurrkin out and all bright and sunny. Thus I betook myself, my laptop (notebook, whatever) and an ice cold beerverage to the back porch for a bit. Soon I shall go in and make some cornbread and heat up the cabbage rolls. A very simple but nummy dindin. I shall also most likely betake myself over to the church house for Evening Prayer. I have not done so in a couple of weeks and deheathenated Lutheran style on Sunday and will do so again this Sunday as I said I’d be a Lector for that service. Thus, I need to get my Episcopal on before I forget how.

Hard to tell when their heritage is in question.
:dubious:

Oh, I saw it. It’s in the queue. It will be accompanied by the .gif of Abby Sr. when it runs.

I went out to the Far Reaches of Britain to get Polly Subaru gassed up this afternoon. It was about a forty-five minute round trip, but when gas it ten cents/gallon cheaper on that side of town I will put up with the commute + horrible traffic to get it.

Time to decide what supper will be.

Every time this MMP thread title appears in my mail box, I think of USA’s Up All Night movies and Rhonda Shear.

Oh, I long for next week.

Home - what a glorious day it is outside! Mid 60s, sunny, loverly!! I tried to walk around my back yard, but it’s all squishy. I need to let it dry out lest I leave major footprints in the muck, or worse, slip and fall. ick.

Executive decision made to go out for supper. Dunno where, but we will go out. So yay.

And we’re one day closer to the weekend, meaning I’m one day closer to a week without adult supervision!

G-d help us al…I mean, Cool!

We went to Bob Evans for supper - it wasn’t bad. We haven’t been to Bob’s in ages - they’ve redecorated since our last visit. That’s all.

I will soon assume the knit position. I’s tahred.

FCM. I need to assume the crochet position, I have a friend who’ll be having a baby in just a little over a month. Got to make a gift.

We are apparently being evicted. Via e-mail. By someone who isn’t even the landlord, of whom we consider personal friends.

Ain’t enough  to cover this.

I’d be suspicious of authenticity on that.

Home, watching Olympic hockey. Got an interview tomorrow to move up at work.

: spray paints sardines “Full Red Delta” :

I’m the adult supervision in my friend’s group. Scary, huh?

BBBobbio, for $200, I guarantee you won’t be evicted. ;);D
