Hot Lunch, currently signed up. Everything looks pretty good. And if you want to change anything, you can up until the draft (and even then, there are somethings you can change through October).
Well, I know this will have a horribly negative effect on the league, as many owners flee the league, knowing they will have little to no chance of winning it all. I’m sure it’s that fear of being crushed by me that has rendered ShibbOleth all but silent. Omni is most likely trying to book other leagues rather than have to face me again. But, despite the negative effects on the league…

Pretty flexible about draft times, as long as it’s not before 6pm eastern on a weekday.
Mr Commish, did we get an offical decision on whether or not this was a start-new keeper league, or if we were going to try and salvage last years? I’ve seen plenty of posts wishing it both ways…we’re going to need an offical ruling.

I don’t care about keepers, even though I kept Chad Pennington around all year for just that reason; though I’d have to admit that that’s partly because my team wasn’t built around one or two studs. No doubt if I’d traded five guys to a much smarter owner just to get Priest Holmes I’d feel differently.
Keepers may be unfair for new people; but so what? It’s not like we can’t find anyone for the last slot or two, and if they suck for a season, so be it; it ain’t like you can only join one league, and it ain’t like you’re spending money.

Scoring system will be a bit different; the idea of it will be to produce NFL-like scores (ie 24 to 27, not 132.25 to 83.6). Other than that I’m open to any suggestions.

Mr. Mook, please see this thread. I believe this here (as in this thread I’m posting in right now) league is full, but the second league, discussed in the linked thread, needs a few more owners. That goes for the rest of you, too.

The options, as I see them:
Everybody goes back to their last year’s roster, and posts here the names of the three players they would like to keep from the initial roster. The sub options here are to draft them first, in the order they were drafted (most difficult), last, or keep them out of the draft and pick from the rest of the league, and add them at the end. (maybe in place of other draft picks?) If you vote for this option, specify what draft type you prefer.
Everyone once again uses the last year’s roster, but to pick one player to keep. Same drafting options as above.
We draft all new- which is the option we may be stuck with if most people do not return.
Vote on the way you prefer, and I’ll make a decision as soon as I can.
I vote for picking three from the original rosters. The only obvious problem is the trade where furt gave mouthbreather the championship by trading away Priest Holmes, which neither party disputes took place. Or where the keeper is a later pickup (ala Domanick Davis or Rudi Johnson). I don’t see much of an argument there.
Get everyone signed up with their 3 keepers and go from there.
If we go three from the original rosters, that’s OK by me.
Munch - if we do that - I’ll trade you Jamal Lewis for Barlow after the draft to recreate the trade we made, assuming you’d still want to.

The only changes that I think need to be made before solidifying the rosters for Keeper determinations is getting in the Barlow for J.Lewis trade between WL and Wilson, and the Holmes for Hasselback (and whoever else mouthbreather gave up). Another issue is whether anyone wants to keep a midseason pickup, but unless two owners claim the same guy, I don’t see a problem with that. Other than those, I think this list gives everybody a chance to look over their rosters and make their selections. I think we should put a deadline on the selections, so we can fill any spots that may still be open.
Not necessary. I think we all know that I had Lewis, and you had Barlow/Shockey. That’s more fair, in case you want to keep both Barlow *and * Shockey.
So what are we doing about draft order?
