mangeorge, I remembered that in my answer to that topic I had said I was a Gemini. So I searched the word ‘Gemini’ for my name and that’s how I found it.
A quick re-read of that topic reveals that you didn’t reply. If you don’t want to let us in on your age, can you at least tell us whether you’d raise or lower the average?
Billdo, thank you for the update on the status of Demo! Wow - a doper gathering in NY sounds like a blast. I love NY - wish I could’ve been there. Oh well, I’ll live vicariously through the update posts about all the fun you guys had without me. Hehe

I’m STILL looking for a new job. I think I’ve sent out over 50 resumes so far, and nothing back. sigh I feel like everything I send goes into a black hole. I’ll be stuck at this *&@#!&% job forever.
My psycho roomie has become UN-psycho, for once. She talked to my co-worker and admitted everything I always THOUGHT! (Mainly that she’s the queen of passive-agressiveness.)
And, on my quest to overcome binge eating and lose weight, I’ve lost 20 pounds so far. Woohoo!

Way To Go, Falcon on your weight loss! What’s your secret, girlfriend?
As for finding a new job, have you considered registering with a temporary agency that also does ‘permanent’ hire? That’s how I found the job I have now. You don’t have to be available for temp assignments in order to register. When jobs come in that match your qualifications and interests they’ll submit your resume and arrange interviews. It really does help to have an advocate of sorts who can ‘sell’ you to prospective employers. Of course it depends on the field you’re in, if that would be a practicable option for you. Just a thought.
Thanks for updating us, too! I would have liked to have remembered everyone in my OP, but I don’t read every thread (I know - for shame, for shame. I’ll spank myself later.) And in some cases I remembered someone posting about something, but couldn’t find the thread to see if they’d already updated everyone, or I couldn’t remember enough details to do an effective search. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings for not having mentioned them (that incudes you, too, Satan :D), and I was hoping others would chime in with updates or requests for updates of their own. So I’m glad you did, Falcon!

As some of you know, my son is going to Law School at Queen’s. I just drove him to the train station, and on the way, I remarked how great it would be, us working together. I’d be his private investigator, gathering evidence so that he could solve the murder in court.
As usual, he reminded me again that he has no interest in criminal law.
Thanks for the update, and the link, beatle. I’m glad that everything turned out well!
Now, another question, ::::looking about the room::::::where’s pluto???
Is the ‘cholera’ all cleared up, and you’re feeling better now?? Anyone else catch it, and did you learn anything new while you were under ‘quarantine’??

Thanks for asking! It is a great idea for a post, and I would really like to see something like it on a regular basis.
I didn’t find a partner willing to go down, but did find a local dive shop that is starting a dive club, so should have someone soon.
Sue Jr. and I just got back from the Keys on Sunday, and it was glorious! Unfortunately, my mother had a sinus infection and my father did something nasty to his ears on our second dive, so I wasn’t able to do as much diving as I would have liked.
However, the two dives I did do were fantastic! Sharks, lobsters, rays, eels, the whole shebang! I would have to say that the highlight was the seven Spotted Eagle Rays swimming in formation mere feet below me. They were enormous and so quietly graceful, just stunning.
My kids brighten up our home. They never turn the lights off. -A Wallyism
• Mom’s cat is still indeed biting its fur off. Pills haven’t worked and it’s on (I am not making this up) an all-rabbit diet. Next step: behaviorist, to see if there’s anything in the apt. cat could be allergic to. “Well, maybe I’ll wind up with one of those expensive bald cats,” says Mom.
• No word from AMC yet, but they warned me it would be May before they know anything (which means June). I am NOT banking on this—but I do have other irons in the fire.
• My book should be in bookstores by the end of this month—I’ll post another thread, asking you guys to storm the barricades screaming “Anna Held! Anna Held!”
• I have to appear on a local NJ cable show this Monday and am probably going to be dragged into an alley and beaten to death while trying to get to and from Metuchen in the dead of night, so you may have to Kiss Her Goodbye . . .
Yes, thanks for asking. I did recover and everyone else in the house caught it. (Don’t say I never gave ya nuthin’!) The two Plutinos still at home got fairly mild cases but Mrs. Pluto got it really bad. However, she still told me many times (usually through clenched teeth, sometimes with what could quite possibly have been her last breath) “It’s just the flu, you idiot!”
“When you wake up in the morning, Pooh,” said Piglet at last, “what’s the first thing you say to yourself?”
“What’s for breakfast?” said Pooh. “What do you say, Piglet?”
“I say, I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today?” said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully.
“It’s the same thing,” he said.
Not and update (Because I hadn’t posted about this yet), but I would like to take this opportunity to anounce that I have finally found a sweet lady that lives in my area code! No more long distance relationships for me.

I’m glad that you got over that cholera, you’re wife should be * glad * that ** you ** put your manly self in front of her and the kids, taking the more * serious of the two afflictions. *
:::::: :pssst, whispering:::::
(but I wouldn’t * share that info * with your wife just yet, might want to wait till she’s feeling better!)
is your son enjoying law school at Queen’s? I heard they went through a rough time a few years ago with faculty fights and student factions - has it calmed down at all?
great campus and city, even if the atmosphere at the law school is still strained.
