The tape seems pretty unobjectionable. She’s dismissive of the EU helping to work with Ukranian opposition leaders, but listening to the recording, there isn’t really any context as to why she is dismissive to them, so I’m not sure there’s really anything for the Europeans to get upset about (unless they get the vapors about someone using a bad work regarding them in private conversation).
Seems kind of silly for the Russians to waste this gimick on such a benign conversation. I get the US doesn’t have much place to complain about the eavesdropping itself, but if you’re going to reveal you have the embassy phone tapped, it seems like you’d want to do so on something other then causing extremely mild embarrassment to a diplomat no ones ever heard of.
It’s not all visual…some of it is gastronomic. It’s much better to bring your beer soaked lout to harvest when they are kicking and screaming if you want that good down home fear taste.

I find it hysterical that folks who work for a government that has become the paragon of privacy-invation & wire-tapping would ever assume a phone conversation is not attached to a megaphone in every city in the world. I’m sorry if they make my country look like it’s run by douchebags but…well, actually, no I’m not.
I don’t think she should have apologized. Rather, she should say something like “I expressed the same frustration with the EU that many EU members have expressed about each other. Anyone who objects to an expression of frustration during a private phone call is cordially invited by me to go fuck themselves with a rusty bandsaw.”

The OP has already shown himself to be totally ignorant and hateful towards America, with such correct statements as (not verbatim) “America is run by warlords!”, etc etc.
OP, if your entire posting platform here is America sucks, then you might not be on the right site, partly because most users here are American, but mostly because you’re dense.
It’s also the BNP’s main rallying cry, but you’re not to make anything of that, because there’s absolutely no relationship or ideological assonance there. Absolutely none, and when I say Absolutely none I mean “a certain amount”, to be sure, but nothing the average, upstanding Enoch Powell supporter would lose sleep over.
