As a followup to my “Looking for software …” thread I just found out that I can do exactly what I need to do if I have a USB camera with TWAIN/WIA or DirectShow drivers for Win10. I don’t think the cheap webcam I was provided (Gesma) has that support. They also do not have any tech support available so that appears to not be an avenue. I can use a still camera so my question is now what is a cheap USB camera with those drivers that I can hook up to my computer.
Try searching “download XXX driver for Windows 10.” You’ll see a bunch of sites come up with free downloads. NOTE: some of these sites may be a little sketchy, so try to find one you recognize.
