Utterly insane take on comic strip characters: Weapon Brown

So let’s say that you have your typical post-apocalyptic story: a ruined America, a hard-as-flint mercenary anti-hero, evil corporations and their doom troops, a underground of good guys, a MacGuffin that can save (or destroy) the world, zombies, mutants, cyborgs, psionics/magic, and a psychotically murderous killing machine villain for the hero to fight. OK, so it’s all been done before; how can you make it new?

Answer: Cast adaptations of comic strip characters in all the roles. This whole story arc is one big “name that cameo” adventure. In fact maybe we should start listing them all here.

link below. NSFW for sex/nudity and even more so for splatterpunk levels of violence.

Two mild spoilers: I was amused by how Uncle Duke from Doonesbury fit in with no real adaptation needed. And just who Calvin from Calvin & Hobbs grew up to be.

I also thought Blockhead’s War was awesome. I had to look up a bunch of the characters, though. Like the French Foreign Legion guys.

Characters in Order of Appearance:

“Chuck Brown”, who has a curl of hair on his forehead and wears a shirt with a zig-zag pattern; and “Snoop”, a dog with apparently human-level sentience.

Not exactly a cast of thousands, then?

I thought I’d let someone else add to the list.
