The reference was Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Ben worries that Luke is the last Jedi and their only hope, but Yoda says “no, there is an other.”
Sorry. It’s easy for us to forget that there is a minority population of people who haven’t memorized the dialogue of the original Star Wars movies.
For future reference, you can assume anytime someone says anything remotely like “there is an other”, or any variation thereof, it’s a Star Wars reference.
Also a Star Wars reference. Any sentence of the form “X or Y, there is no Z” is also a Star Wars reference.
